What Are Your Plans This Holiday Season

Now that the Holiday Season is upon us, what are you planning?

For ourselves, we will be celebrating Christmas, both on the Eve as well as Christmas Day. We start out at appx 5:00 PM over my mom's where there will be plenty of good food and gifts. Christmas Mass at 10:00 PM (Midnight Mass ?) and then back home to have our tree with our immediate family. Christmas Day is geared on going from friend's to friend's home's and celebrating with them. All the while there is plenty of great food, drinks, and of course, some great Bud :-)

On the 26th ... We just collapse from non-stop Family and Friends Gatherings ....

The usual. Christmas caroling, hay rides, snow tubing (ouch, I got a boo-boo), snow mobile riding (thank you he-who-must-not-be-named relative from undisclosed neighboring state), Christmas train ride, Las Posadas (my favorite New Mexican tradition), Midnight Mass (my mother is a former Catholic), Family gift exchange, Farolito display for Christmas Eve, Christmas dinner and thanking God that my parents are here for one more holiday season.

I've thought that out...but it will only work if I go with a bloody ending. I was thinking a good old hanging/electricution combo might be nice. Or maybe light my truck on fire and drive thru the mall...idk yet....details are still sketchy.

They're called farolitos. Luminarias are the large bonfires. That little misnomer has been around for the last 60 or so years. That's what happens when white folks move into the state. They start calling things Pinyon and Navaho... shit like that. :p

I live close to Farmington where there is the largest farolito display in the country. I used to help set it up for years.
