I'm watching The Last Dance for the second time. It is one of the greatest documentaries I've seen. I'm pretty biased, though, because I'm a Chicagoan that lived through every second of those championship years. It was during my 20s, which contain some of the best memories of my life - all the friends, girlfriends, partying, and careers during that period. The Bulls runs were the backdrop to all those life experiences. Most outings were centered around watching their games. Anyway, this series covers all the highlights of those times, and the memories are still fresh. Even if you're not into sports, this is special and inspiring. Highly recommended.

I'm just settling down to watch The Hitcher again, one of my fav psychological thrillers of all time. Rutger Hauer, C. Thomas Howell and Jennifer Jason Leigh??? C'mon, now. I think Hauer was even better in this than in Blade Runner, and it is def one of Howell better roles. The movie is so minimalist, there is a quiet tension throughout, and a strange and fascinating intimacy between protagonist and villain right from the start. Highly recommended.

The diner scene! I havent thought about that movie in awhile. I'm going to have to revisit that. I bet I wasnt older than 12 when I first watched that on vhs. Just the title alone is creepy af backing your minimalist take.
