What are these?

Found these on a few stems of my auto (week 9-10 approx of flower)
Would I be right in saying she's developed seed sacks in the attempt of survival at the end of her life cycle?

You would be wrong. Thats a Calyx and its what buds are primarily made of. when you break up a flower you will notice its nothing but stem, calyx's, and leaf. The higher the calyx to leaf ratio the better. The calyx is where the seeds do form if they are pollinated; the goal is not to pollinate.

If you are referring to this, it's a single calyx growing with the 2 stigmas/pistils coming out of it.

That plant also has at least a couple more weeks to go....

Thanks guys, it was lower down the stem on a plant where the buds were still very young so that would make sense. But was just wondering was all.
