What are these white things sticking out of my buds? (They are not pistils)

What the hell are these little hard white things sticking out of the buds? They are coming out of a couple different bud sites, just started a few days ago. Is this normal? Because I have personally never witnessed this...anatomy..before.

You mean the trichromes? THE THC!? Congrats, you have achieved WEED. =)

Unless you mean the hairs, which are dried out pistils.

No man, I'm talking about those two cone shaped hard things sticking out of the center of that bud in the second picture. They are about 1/4" long actually are hard to the touch. They project out like pistils but it's as hard as a stem.

Those are what people call "bananas", they are male flowers and will pollinate. You may want to chop the plant if you have others in with it. If they aren't extensive you can pick them out with tweezers. I had a Pak. Valley too close to the lights, the top bud stressed and threw out some bananas. I Removed them, moved the plant, and they didn't recur.

Damn. I just took a good close look all through the plant. I would say 50% of my budsites have them. Surprisingly, the cola doesnt have them. Either way, I think it's more work than it is worth to try to clip and recover. It's definitely a hermie. Tough cookie eh. I have a couple lemon skunk, and afgan kush seeds on the way though. I'll try my luck with those. This one was bagseed lol. Thanks for the diagnosis guys!

edit: They have been flowing since december 3 i believe.

they're just male flowers. They haven't pollinated the plant yet. It's still sensimilla. Harvest and cure. What are the trichomes like? are they clear to cloudy or just clear?

Nice, okay so my buds aren't screwed yet. here is some amber in the buds, maybe 15%. Mainly green though. Most of the pistils are white. I don't have a scope to check the trichomes but I took the lens out of a cd player and stuck it on my phone camera and a could see some trichs, maybe half are cloudy, lots are still clear. Definitely premature but no big deal, just a different kind of high lol.

Well, you're almost at 7 weeks so you're not too far off the harvest date. :p I think you're really going to really surprised by the type of high and the potency. At least, I hope so.
