what are the most cost effective organic nutrients from veg to flower?

my bad that wasn't my intention, it just seemed like the people answering had some good info.

it's all good bro I really wouldn't worry about it... my main reason for switching to organics is I have a feeling the plants will love it more, be way more lush, and I think the nutrient dosing will be a bit easier and less touchy compared to chemical nutes....

there is the flavor aspect, but some strains are just naturally harsh... I flushed for 3 weeks and compared harshness to my buddies organic grow, there's hardly any difference, as that isn't my main intention for switching over though I do think there will be some good effects within that as well I am mainly switching for the health aspects of the plants and the earth.

they ship that super bloom granular mix. get ya some in your soil mix now & use it as a tea base twice a week during flower. i do add a little hygrozyme to the tea just before I feed. i threw my bloombastic away* after i did side by side comparisons; with BB and without, just using SuperBloom. never again.

*ok, ok, i traded it for an eighth, but I quit using it.

nice so I should expect the same or better results than I got with the chemical nutrients last year? that stuff seems VERY economic... so for about 2 months of flowering how much of that shit should I buy? like 20 pounds? haha

also what concentration did you make the tea per gallon? and did you use it to water your plants fully or was it just a part of the full watering?

1 cup Super bloom, 1/4 cup molasses 2&1/2 gal water (RO, rain, or distilled, tap is ok if you bubble first to off gas the chlorine) bubble for 24 hours, add hygrozyme and add 2&1/2 more gallons of non chlorinated water. feed like liquid nutes.

ah don't worry I have well water, no chlorine very good water...

why do I have to use molasses? I kinda have a feeling it flavored the bud in an undesirable way last year so I"m reluctant to use it again.

Plants consume simple sugars in the soil more during flower production, thereby depriving the beneficial bacteria of their food source. adding molasses prevents this. if ya don't like the flavors imparted by molasses, you can use turbinado (unrefined sugar.) Super Bloom is like 1/4 dried molasses.
here's the site to get super bloom www.organicdynamics.com click on Ron's Blends. Ron's been organic for almost 20 years now; he does a radio show on organic lawn & garden care here in North Texas on Sunday mornings 8-9 am on 570 AM KLIF. Good dude. Anti-corporate. I've toured his facilty & he knows whats up.

for sure that sounds legit..I was using molasses in high concentrations last year for flowering..it bulked up the buds good but man I swear it flavored it...I'll just use less next time.

I find blood meal, bone meal, and dolomite lime to work awesome outdoors, plus all together they add up to about 15 dollars (2kg boxes).

that really doesn't seem like a potent mixture...

I was using 11-54-4 chemical grow bloom last year and if you look in this thread I listed pictures of what it looked like... so I want to use organic mixtures that are potent, not like 11-54-4 potent but something that will match it in quality....

thanks for your response

BUDSWEL. not really cost effective at all but is the cream of the crop as far as High P organic nutrients go. they have come out with a tea that i will try this year as well. ammending your soil with meals and guanos is the best way IMO. Just remember that they are not as fast acting and they last longer than what you have used in the past. that being said they can be safer and require less applications. Things like neem seed, cottonseed or alfalfa meal for N , then the High p guano or fish meal. also because they take longer to break down and become available to the plant i like to "bomb" my holes early (2 weeks)to ensure rich soil from the start. works for me but everyone has their ways. and superthrive def has some non organic components in it but the plants don't know that..

yeah I've noticed the slower acting qualities here... that makes me want to go for that 'rons' mix someone in this thread meantioned earlier, very cheap and seems very effective...so far it's a winner until someone recommends something better :)

was just t hinking and had to ad info. I like to use cottonseed meal but it is acidic and requires some lime too to raise the PH. just figured i'd say it before someone ends up hating me. I learned from experience.

Yeah looks good. there are a ton of quality locally produced mixes out there since this sort of organic "revolution" started.

Strange thread.. the guy with 300 post is telling the guy with 6000 post what to do... odd, and the 6000 post guy gets on the noob for "thread jacking" ....... bizarre.... but funny..... I just want to clarify a misconception... Chlorinated water will not harm your plants at all... I switched from peroxide . to teas and finally to 4ppm + clorox in my rez... your plants will be just fine with tap water at the recommended 2ppm that you drink,,, Matter of fact , my rez had major issues intill I switched,,, cheap and very effective..

just because I have 6000 post doesn't mean I know every good cheap cost effective organic nutrient out t here... thanks for the pointless bullshit post...

I was correcting your misconception about Chlorine... And it appears you need hand holding about base elements with 6000 post ,, wtf? seems like you sir have 6000 pointless post?... So, next time a polite noob "jacks " your thread , think twice...and politly answer his question, like people have done for you. You don't own RIU? nor is this "YOUR" thread... Mr. Entitlement........ Its a community to help one another and sometimes make new friends.. Just sayin'
