if you don't do a little research , you are just going to buy what people tell you to and that is throwing money away .
Check out peoples journals and see what they are using .
Oh so much to learn .

if you dont want to waste money send an email to cutting edge solutions and explain to them that you dont want to waste your hard earn money on a product your not sure works for and see what they do for you. i believe now they send you a complete grow starter kit for just a few bucks. it is so easy and user friendly you will continue to use them again angain

go shop at HTG supply for al equipment.

I made my own system and use General Hydroponics for nutes with Tiger Bloom and Grow BIg and Kushie Kush from Advanced Nutrients.
I have 2-400hps lights and a T5 bank of 8-4' CFL bulbs I use to veg.

My signature down below has a picture of my system from lowes for under $`120, no soil to spend $$ on, no additives to put into the soil and no $$ just sliding down your bathtub.
Hydro is the way to go.

Sun Systems lights. Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil. Organic Nutrients (foxfarm, Roots Organic, Earth Juice). Sun System or Lumatek Ballasts. Phillips Agro-Sun bulbs, or Eye Hortilux. Air King or Eco-Plus fans. Air-Sok or Carbon-Aire filters. Hydro Hut, Grow Lab, or Sun Hut grow tents.

The point is...you want to find Reputable, Big name brands so you can get feedback from other people who use the same things, get parts and repairs, and have good customer service and such for those brands. (off-brands are sort of inferior)

But you want to look for good reliable brands, and ones that are reasonably priced for your applications. For instance, Advanced Nutrients, or maybe Humboldt Nutrients are good brands...but they're very expensive, and are just as good as cheaper alternatives.

Its all about finding good quality products that meet your needs for a reasonable price.

How about a $500 setup including seeds and nutes that will yield 13 ozs. of killer bud? They programmed people here wont like it but it is what it is. 2x4 tent ($100), 6 bulb T5 HO ($207), 4" fan and filter ($80), 2 small desk fans ($20) a home built 2x3 scrog (<$10) Green House Mixed Pack I ($40) peroxide, molasses, Neptunes Harvest Fish & Kelp and Jack's Classic Bloom ($19 total) for an actual grand total of $476 which leaves you $24 for misc. items. This exact set up yielded just over 13 ozs. So your next 13 ozs. will cost whatever the seeds cost.

Been asked a million times here:

not really i'm more lookin for the brands that are worth the money ppl sale them for nobody wants to spend 500 dollars on something that don't last more than a year not worth spending 500 on in the first place
unless u got money to throw away
i didn't ask what is the cheapest i want best quality for my hard earned money plain n simple
