What are some tried and proven strains for outdoor in Michigan?

  • Im thinking about growing some different strains outdoor next year in MI. I was thinking about growing Confidential Cheese, Fruity Chronic Juice, Sweet Tooth, and Pineapple Express. What do you guys think of these? Is there any different strains that you would recommend or any of these 4 that you wouldn't and if so why? I haven't ordered the seeds yet, I want to order them asap from http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com (the single seed centre). Thanks all.

I'd go sour diesel for yields and tga gear or raskal gear for both and headstash. Sour d is the best outdoor plant bar none.

I don't think much of pineapple express. Or con cheese. The juice idk and sweet tooth is great but I'd get it from sol. Ps the attitude is the way to go. I'm close to u n diesel strains r tops if they finish. u should b ok. For out I'm going w kish, bonkers, grapegod, space queen, dairy queen, headband, chemdawg, sour p, and Chernobyl or pre 98 bubba kush. Maybe try the fire og and blueberry headband 2. Oh s.a.d 2.

The confidential cheese was a real winner last year. I grew two and both were outstanding. The one outside yielded 26 oz dry and the greenhouse plant was about 12 oz's, cause I had to keep it small to fit in the greenhouse. Both plants finished the last week of Sept. and were very high quality. Plus they had no mold, which for me has been hard to avoid outside.

I grew sour diesel three years ago and it didn't come close to finishing. I picked it about half way into November and it was still not finished. Maybe it was just the pheno I had, but it was pretty close to pure sativa and I'll never try growing it again outdoors in Michigan. Maybe the guys above me had a faster finishing pheno, but mine didn't stand a chance. Not only did it take long to flower, but I didn't even see a pistil on them until the first week of Sept, when all my indicas were a month into budding. So maybe I just had a strange cut, Im not sure the brand, I got them in clones from a buddy.

I think you should stick to strains that are mostly indica for outdoors in Michigan and grow the sativa's indoor.

That con. cheese looks awesome. I agree with you firelane that sativas are a big no-no for Michigan. I already proved that with my mk ultra that grew 8 feet tall and had buds the size of mini marsh mellows when I pulled it in nov. it sucked. I would grow "kish" from cash crop ken, but I have no way of obtaining the seeds from vancouver seed bank, I heard they wont ship to the united states. I really want to stay away from sour diesel also, because it is almost pure sativa. I intend on doing all of my plants in the ground, no greenhouses or containers.
