at this time of year i have growing.
Mint : this is lovely with fresh boiled potatos, and can be dried well like weed and used.
salad greens: i love these has rocket, mustard, ect ect
some kind of mini chilli plant from tesco's
some cool ideas i use are.
hanging baskets, quick and simple, fill with dirt/leftover soil from weed grows, place some mint in centre and around edge your salad leaf. also in wind only smell you get is that fresh minty smell.
chilli/pepper plants go well on the windowsill look cool too. for the kids a sea of green water cress garden looks good and goes well in sandwiches. awesome cropping for a hydro system in place.
i also have too admit i live in countryside so alway on look out for some blackberrys and or apples, pears, plum trees anything that can be used and in season. a patio can be turned into a mini veg garden, cycle the veg you grow around your pots and containers too get the best out of your soil.
a smallish bin can be used too make compost, use shredded paper veg peel waste and old compost from potted house plants, a few months in the summer heat will have it cooking away ready for winter use and your herbs and indoor veg. or it can be used too grow root veg like carrots, shallots, radish and the likes.
i would love too somehow grow a small grapevine indoors around a kitchen window, it would look cool and be nice too pick them fresh.
start everything in veg room, then move into flowering room untill weather is ripe, then transport outside and wait too reap your reward, even grow over winter.
if things get a bit over the top, thin out your veg and give too neighours/family/friends
