Hey Everyone,

I have this one plant that is twice as big as the others even thou I germinated them all together. I'm scratiching my head wondering what to do with her... So that the growth is more even.... I was thinking of taking her out of the light until the others catch up.
What do you think?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

are you sure she is a she..... usually when a plant shoots ahead of the others and they are the same strain.. the tallest plant is male!!!

If you are still in the veg stage.. I would cut the top off the plant... and turn it into a bunch of clones....

from the nodal spacing, it could very well be a male..

Thanks guys! Shall I kill him???I have no needs for a male at this point. And besides its grown from some undefined bag seed for my first grow...

So I'm debbating topiing off or placing out under normal room light until others catch up. What da ya think?

Cheers

LeFreak, wait and see what happens. It could be a female. Having said that, I have two young plants(3-4 nodes) and one is gorgeous but much taller than the other. I was hoping it's a female but I guess might more likely be a male. Oh well, if the little one is a female I'll get some bud and that is what counts.

if you take the tall one out of the grow lights to let the others catch up you might force the tall one to flower before the others or even worse, turn hermie.

Ok guys... I'll go with the consensus here so I'm gona keep him for now and hope for a she....
So how about just placing him under a weaker light with still 18 hrs??? Or just let him hit the light? Or Top him?
have to make up my mind soon hes growing fast at an inch a day right now...hmmm I wish my other ones would do that...

Cheers

Like everyone said its most probably a Male if not LST it or top it

Indica = Big leaves & shorter
Sativa = thinner longer leaves & taller

I placed him for two days under dimmer light and he started streching even more... AHHHHH... so I placed him back in the grow room.... I guess I'm just going to let it get closer to the light until it starts burning.....

Tie it down if you have space, look into that option. You can cover a branch with a material that does not let light penitrate it, and force it to flower, or create seed pods if it is male..GL
