What am I ding wrong with my germination

I keep trying to germany my seeds I got.2 a little wet paper towel in 1 glass of water the 1 in the glass of water I had for about 3days nothing happened I have the other 2 in paper towels.for two days .none germinated. What am I.doing wrong

not too sure but heres my full germing process; i pop all seeds into a cup of water for 24hours , the cup is put into a dark warm place . then i put them into a box lined with paper towels that are damp, not soaking but very damp, i cover them with more paper towels dampen them and pop the lid back on the box, then i put the box sumwhere warm and dark again. i'll open the box a couple of times a day and spray the towel with water to make sure it remains damp. the usually pop within 2 days. keeping them warm, damp and dark is the trick.

your temps mate?

take seed , put in glass of water ... leave for 12 - 24hrs... seed will sink to the bottom of glass ... remove seed from glass, place in the middle of several wet layers of paper towel NOT DRIPPING WET .. place in plastic ziploc bag , place on top of fridge or other warm place .. check bag daily .. seed will crack and a small tap root will appear usually in 2 or 3 days .. plant in your container

i do what dura said,but i dont bother putting them in a cupof water first.
what i use is,a tupperware container,paper towels and a propagator.

if its a shit immature seed it wont sprout at all...that might be the issue as well

i get the soil wet in the container im going to use..put a hole in the soil...drop the seed in...wait.

Or an old seed improperly stored.

i had a seed take like ten days to germinate. i just kept it in a wet paper towel in a tupperware container. right as i was about to give up and throw it away I checked one last time and bam it sprouted. Its growing fine now. Got it in a little stealth PC box I made. As long as its a good seed it should sprout if you just keep it moist right?

and when I was like 18 I had my first apt. so it was a party pad so to speak and there were so many dumb stoner kids smoking in there that i guess someone had dropped a seed down my bathroom sink and it got caught in the trap. One morning i notice a plant growing out of the damn drain. no shit. I had to take the trap off and clean the fucker out of there. stem was like probably 8" before it came out the hole. there was probably all sorts of nasty shit going down that sink watering it lol

apperently, one of them DID form a taproot, took 4 days the one in the water. just found it a min ago and planted it into the soil with the taproot facing down, soil is moist, but not soggy.

Don't over complicate things. I don't even poke holes in the soil, I just sprinkle some seeds on top of it. Cover container, and place in a warm area - usually on top of a cable box - and a few days later out pop the roots. Keepin' it simple.

i agree, but i have never doen this before anf got some free seeds with my order and decided to give an experiment on em....and NOT the SLH seeds i purchased lol

about 3 days if you did it in a paper towel or whatever...5-7 days if you just plant it.

I myself germinate 1/2 inch into a layer of vermiculite right on top of my soil in the pot i plan on using. spray with warm water until nice n moist. Cover pot with plastic wrap. Put in warm place and wait 3-4 days. So far 100% success rate with a strong rooted seedling every time.

im having the same problem, ive had seeds germing for 3 days now and nothing seems to be happening

I have always done it like that too . First place it in a cup of water for about 24 hours and then put in a damp paper towel , it always works for me . Usually within a few days a root will grow out . then I plant it in a small cup of potting soil keeping it nice and moist but not too wet .
