What affects overall potency? Plant problems?

As the title suggests, i'm really wondering because my girl is exhibiting Mg and Zn deficiencies if it will over all impact the finishing quality or the level of THC/CBN's in the herb.

As far as i've read, what does happen is hormone levels fluctuating, and taking a little longer to mature (ie, longer veging or flowering time because of nute burn, etc), how does this problem affect the end result.

And i know curing and flushing as all to do with the taste, but in chemical terms.

This vedeo pretty much explains it all, at nearly 20 minutes in length. For those impatient among us, I will summarize. THC is used for several different reasons. The sticky, psychotropic resins stop insects and some animals from getting at the seeds inside. Human's can't OD on pot, but it looks like some insects can! However, it is now starting to be thought that the REAL CATALYST that forces plants to create massive amounts of resin in their glands resulting in the creation of THC crystals is actually UVB light.

But don't take my word for it! See what the Marijuana Man has to say!
This should pretty much explain everything we understand as a species so far. Keep in mind that, while there are 61 cannabinoids, only 3 of them can be measured at this time. Because of the lack of serious research, relatively little is known on this topic. Here ya go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPcpt3Be28o
edit: I will try and fix the link, hold on..... ok Fixed. It got sent to me on my hushmail account, and since they are so secretive, I had to type it out somewhere that wasn't an email, because they would not let it link up when pasted from that email. Thats alot of security! I guess thats why I have the account

Thanks for the link will check it out.

I knew the idea about uvb, and higher potency.......and am currently using a uvb light for that reason. First grow not sure if it makes a difference for me yet or not.

Will check the video out.

Is it one of the reptile lights, like talked about in that link? If not, what kind of light is it, and where did you get it?

Yes its a ReptiGlo 5.0 that i found at Petsmart, $15, its supposed to be for desert type reptiles, has penetration to 18", though i think the 10.0 would be a little better as it has longer penetration and more in the 270-310nm range.

Have yet to get to flowering so no first hand expereince with uvb...

Was that the correct range mentioned in the "THC, UVB, & ME" video?
Also, I have a pet snake, we use a red heat lamp from repti-glo, are you talking about a bulb like that? Or is it something different because Killer is a jungle snake, not desert.

There is a thread called "interesting observation" that sort of shows a little first hand how areas getting more direct light get less THC, while areas with less direct light, and therefore a higher concentration of UVB to HPS light, had more resin on them. check it out

I lied i have the tropical, you want the desert i'd think based on light range, i think the desert 10.x is $20

Will check that thread out too.

Thats some cool shit Joe about the bible and the fragrant cane, its so "shocking" how things get translated and skewed by what people want you to beleive.
