Have you heard anything about ruderalis? we all know of sativas and indica strains but why aren't we seeing anything about ruderalis?
does anyone know anything about it? what types of strains are there and are they available from any seed banks?
any info would be nice
seems like it is overlooked, web searches don't help as it is geared towards sativa and indicas.
just curious about it

Ruderalis is used for hemp. It has very little potency. It can be found growing wild in parts of the US and is called 'ditch weed'. Considered not worth smoking. It does have the advantages that it grows fast and autoflowers ( doesn't need 12/12 to flower)

Lowryder is a hybrid with Ruderalis, Indica & Sativa. It autoflowers and grows fast. I've never grown it but last time I looked it was considered a mediocre strain.

In the last few years, breeders have been developing autoflower strains. These strains all get their autoflower property from being crossed with a Ruderalis.

Stoney Girl Seeds out of Oregon does use Ruderalis. This helps keep a lower flowering time in theory, by breeding with Ruderalis. I can tell you that most experienced growers do not go with the Stoney Girl Seeds out here, mostly newer growers. Kudos to them for their marketing, but I am not a Stoney Girl Fan.

Just take the first four letter of it and that's all you need to know.

The only benefit of their 'rude' genes is that you can develop autoflowering strains with them but getting a strain that is potent and tasty takes a lot of work.
