Went to water my male Chocolate plant today and to my surprise it had some pistils :-?

Needless to say im a little upset. I was going to use it for breeding this grow..but not anymore. My dilemma now is WTF am i gonna do?

I have a nice NL male to in my veg box. I can flip it and use it for breeding aslo...but even tho no male flowers opened to my knowledge.. i might just say fuck it. I dunno if its compromised.

What would you guys do?

confused by ur post...pistils? u mean balls? u think u have a male plant? is what compromised?
No i mean a male plant....that grew pistils....its a hermie but reversed.

What i meant by compromised..i mean i hope it didnt shed any polen on my girls...that would be shitty.
So now im wondering if i should even bothe rpolinating with a good NL male.

Look at the middle of the pic..yul see a pistil

What do the pistils look like on your girls?
the rest are fine..i went over em like a crab comb at a navy pear...pistils are just pistils on the gals. The ones on the male look the same as the girls......the male plant is not what im worried about, its just a hermie.

Im jus wondering if the grow is worth polintaing with good polen at this point..im not sure if the hermie released any garbage polen or not. If so im not going to bother polinating with good polen.

Jus wanted some opinoins is all.

thisis rare but it does happen....just most people dont let males grow long enuf to notice it,, they usually cull them at preflowers.

thanks tho

I guess what I meant was that if the pistils are already receding then it's probably too late; there are visable signs of pollination. You could also rub the herm to see if it's already producing pollen. peace

How's the nl male?
Hes fine...and no other hermies in the whole group of NL or Chocs..jus him. So im guessing its genetic...Chocolate is

Chocolate Trip x Deep Chunk

Chocolate Trip is

Chocolate Thai x Indigo Diamond x Indigo Diamond x Chocolate Thai. Im guessing the Thai is the culprit

That would be my guess.:)
I'd chunk the nl male in there and see ,what's the worst that can happen.

That hermie can pollinate another female and produce all 100% feminized seeds. In a way, it's all good if you got some pollen out, it would save you lots on your next purchase ^_^

Nah i wish it worked that way lol

Its still a hermie just a male..so most would be hermies....but a very small percentage would be ok....its not worth my time tho to find em all LOL

The way your think about is a forced hermie, then you polinate a clone with that polen and its Fem seeds....i dont really know how to do that, and id rather have male/female plants to play with :)

I'm not too sure about that bro. Remember that male organs will show before the female organs but is female gone hermie not male gone hermie. Seed banks wont tell you but it's their secret. Get a hermie plant and cross it with an all female plant to produce all feminized seeds on the plant you pollinated.

Check out this page to get a low down on how it's done http://www.seedsplaza.com/create-feminized-cannabis-seeds-at-home.html ... some people will say that Hermie genetics breeds hermie genetics and others will say that it's a 50/50... what if it was a girl but it was stressed out early and developed balls way before the female organs? Only you can answer that one I guess ^_^
