Wet trim stink and quality loss?

I've heard a lot of talk about trimming dry vs wet. By no stretch of the imagination am I a veteran grower with years of experience. With that being said please take what I say with a grain of salt.
So, most of the posts I've read on different forums are pretty much split 50/50. With my first grow coming to a close (harvest in 3 weeks) I want to get some quality info as to where to go next in regards to harvest.
I'm definitely going to hang dry, that much I do know. Now, wet trim vs dry trim.. I really want to dry trim because I'm a slave for that sweet smell and taste that Mary provides. I've heard trimming dry preserves that smell and taste we all have come to know and love.
I've also heard wet trim has its advantages too. Shorter drying times, minimal risk of damaging trichomes, etc. (So I've read) However I've also heard that trimming wet gives marijuana a grassy smell and taste.
Now I'm planning on using my trim to make bubble hash. Does it make a difference wet trim vs dry trim. I've seen videos using both but I've never smoked it
so I really have no reference.
I guess I'll go with dry or maybe do a 50/50 split and make the decision for myself.
Looking to post more often as I start to really get into finally growing my own. Any tips or advice is appreciated!

here is my theory on this, and keep in mind it's an educated one, that I've developed over decades of growing.
The reason I trim dry is this, when you wet trim, all those cuts will leak the plants moisture, making it "bleed" so to speak, more of those "wounds" and it makes it dry too fast, which can influence the taste. and smell.
Less open wounds mean a longer dry, which usually means a better tasting smoke.
Slower the better in my experience.
In fact I have some Bodhi stuff drying for like 10 days now, and it's so humid out there aren't even close, and that's when you can get a nice cure..

Isn't there a risk of your nugs molding up if the dry happens too slooow?

Not at all.
Unless you are drying in an anaerobic environment. Which would be just stupid, considering.
You are perhaps confusing a dry with a cure?
Different.
You want the slowest dry possible. In my experience.
then once it's dried to where you want it, then you jar it for curing.
Brown paper bags are great for slowing down the drying process if it's too dry out. Keeping them on the stems also helps
