i dont think were dicks... i cant hold myself responsible for a poor countries corrupt goverment or a poor countries bad IQ... is it my fault that there country didn't develop aswel as mine? no its not.... BUT that doesnt mean i dont feel sorrow for them because i 100% do and if i owned 5 million£$ i would donate atleast a full 1 million to the poor and starving....
the only way to help is to fly over there in a group and use yourself as a free labourer to maybe help dig wells and such.....
maybe if you feel bad you should do this? if i didnt have the responsibility of my dogs then i would maybe do this..

Who said anything about fault? The fact is that there are alot of starving children out there that could really use our help and we aren't gonna do shit about it. Face it, we're all dicks.
It's selfish to point the finger at a country and say it's their fault therefore you don't have to help. It's just an excuse (like your dogs).
I'm being realistic.. I'm not gonna help (well maybe someday I will) because I'm a dick like the rest of you. It just sucks we can be this way you know?

I just watched a news clip on the plight of some kids & what not in Mali (sp).. terrible.. next story was showing the beautiful color photo of the crator on Mars we just landed in.
Its a very nice photo I guess.. but the 2.9 BILLION dollar price tag for that photo is a bit much to swallow after seeing the kids dieing. HOly shit, even if we DID find life out there on Titan or Europa or even Mars. Great. Now what? What would it do for ANYONE if we did?
Yes we need exploration, its what inspires the rest of the world, but fuck me can we get our priorities striaght? Can we perhaps help those around us for a while first?

did you know nasa's budget is half a penny from out tax dollars? if anythin we need to be spendin more money in space so we can learn more about ourselves an advance as a country/civilization. you just dont get it i guess. the more time we spend up there the better shit will get down here. if you havent noticed we as a country have taken a back seat when it comes to science an to me thats a very bad thing.

oh an hep if you arent gonna do shit about it then there is no need to talk about it. chances are you realistically cant help those kids unless you go door to door an say hey are you neglectin your kids food wise? or just walk the streets searchin for hungry kids. it doesnt make you a bad person you atleast understand they need help an im sure if you were walkin with a bag full of popeyes you'd give a starvin kid some if you saw one.

As far as our country I have to agree with captain, there are food banks, soup kitchens, food stamps and even shoplifting. Our country is filled with food and if any kid is starving its the parents fault. What would cause a parent to starve there child? Crack, heroin, meth, or raw stupidity. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere there is really no excuse.
If you want to make it a political thing I can thing I can think of at least on country that has spend many trillions of dollars on war. Just blowing the fuck out of everything and spending all the money too. What if they spent that on some thing positive? For a few hundred billion dollars or so I bet you could...... Feed everyone in the world fresh organic local grown food... Replace 90% of our need for oil..... Buy a new green car for everyone on earth..... Make sure all factories on earth are sustainable and not a burden on the earth...... Health care for everyone on earth..... And I bet the would still have change left over! Not to mention how many new enemies are you gonna make with that plan.
As for the fat people having more than the starving kids, they are starving too. With nothing it there diet but fat and sugar there body just keeps storing it away hoping they will get some good green vegetables and a little exercise. It there lard asses than need to be taught how to feed kids, half my 10 year olds class is fat. That just fucked!

Heph if this bothers you so much, which it should, why not find a charity and do some volunteering? I'm sure it would very welcome to have a young man helping set up the soup kitchen and helping to serve food. You don't have to spend a penny. Talk about good Karma too.
