Well Take TAKE TWO... Hope this one goes bettter

Well my first batch didn't make it. I have now restarted a new batch (still using bag seed, kindof scared to order them and have them shipped to me). I think the guyat the hydro store rave me some bad advice. This time I am starting a little more self educated. I am using a T-5 4 bulb Sunleave grow light, a fan bought at a local store, General Hydroponics PH kit, Rockwool med., Planing on going hydroponic DWC. Got 3 buckets that I have converted by adding a water level indicator and air tubing with a air stone on the bottom(probly going to buy a air tube diffusor so I get more of a equal air bubble rate. I am trying to get a better air flow in the grow area and need to find a way to regulate the humidity better. I got a nute starter pack but am not using till later. Also trying to keep Ph around 5.6 to 5.9. Any comments and/or advice I would GREATLY WELCOME. Except for a few small attempts at growing this is my first real try at. I am a noob but hope to gain knowlege. Trial and error is my status at the moments though. Thank you


P.S. Anyone got an idea how to get seeds relitively safely without getting busted I would like to know. I don't wanna use bag seed but its the only fisable way I can see for now without getting busted. But I want some good seed though.

P.S.S. There are 4 I am going to see what happens. Pics below. This are from my First attempt. Personly think they are about as good as dead but Going to try anyway to salvage. Something to do while I wait for the new ones to get some tap roots.

Well today the last of Batch 1 dyed. Batch 2 is starting to get tap roots. Think I am going to use a different Med. Don't think I a ready for rockwool yet. Will post pics tommorow

Well Got almost new setup now. Same light, new area, new fans (250cfm intake, 250 cfm exhaust, and 1 small fan for circulation). the new grow chamber is 6' X 4' X 2'. Still going DWC. Got 2 air pumps and tube diffusers. Using GH rapid rooter starter plugs. Here are some pics, tell me what you think.

Day 4 of the new Grow.

Well Here they are. Its funny all the ones that have come thru are all on one side??? Weird huh. I think it was off level and the water stayed on that side more. What you all think?

Ok its day 6 and here are the pics. Temp been holding at 77-80 with 40% humidity. Stems on 3 are purplish red and thick. 1 has a seed casing still on it!! And one is not out of soil yet but I tHink she will. Still got more research to do though.

Day 8 The transplant

Ok today I put 2 of the Heathiest plants it to my DWC. Only runing ppm of 100 to start out. Ph of 5.7. The 2 plants I almost lost yesterday I put in soil so not to shock them too much. I used Fox Farm OF and a little perilite. Here are the pics of the Babies

Well here is a update on my grow. LOST 2..... One was the seedling with the seed. Her leaves just would not Develop. The other was one of the DWC. ADVICE TO ANYONE DOING DWC: GETA GOOD PH METER!!!! My older tester was way off. Was reading it at 5.5-6.0 WAS 6.8 when i tested with new PH Meter. Droped the PH to5.7 5.8 and the difference wa noticible in about 1 1/2. But the other one thats in soil is NICE. No problems that I notice other than she is slow growing. But she is just taking her time. But since the others dyed, Figure start so more seed. After all this is a experament grow to learn what works and doesn't. Got some good seedlings out of it right now. Hope they take off so the can only be behind by 2 week. Well here some pics. Well here is day 22 of basiclly my first real grow. I changed the res. today so I decided to post some pics. The new PH meter has solved ALOT of problems I was having. Planted 3 of the new seedlings today. 1 into the DWC and one in my Real soil setup. 1 I put in a cup I modified just to experiment with. Not worried bout her cause dont really have the room for more than 4 at a time. But here are some pics.

Almost 1 month In...

Well Lets see what new i got. Number one I AM NOT A ROCKWOOL FAN!!! The one I had in rockwool is 95% dead so I transplanted the experamental plant over to the DWC and she seems to like it. All the other plants seem to lovely. The little ones are catching up fast to their elders. I do expect some stunted growth from the one I transplanted becuase Itook her from a soil setup and threw her into a dwc but she showed new growth today(granted not as much as her counterpart). Also planning on getting my 400Watt Hps cool tube system this week(well ordering it though HTG) and either building or buying a active carbon filter. They might be small but they are already starting to have a little pot smell to them. Probly looking at flowering in about ohhhh... 1 month if the little ones keep growing as fast as they are. Plus I have decided this will be the only grow from this gene pool I will have. Next grow I will order some seeds (still up in the air about what type to get). Advice on what would work best for my set-up would be great. Anyway HERE ARE THE PICS....

Well here is whats going on. Bad news first. My really good DWC has a bad cal. def. Been Folage spraying and added some magical to the res. but I don't know if she will pull thru. Right now its still wait and see and its been about a week since it started. But the other 3 seem to be just fine. Did some mods to the grow area, added a carbon filter, another fan, lowered the self about 7-8 inches, and got a 400 watt cool tube hps for flowering. Also invented this box for new seeds/seedlins. Well let me know what you thing....

Well she pulled thru nicely, Also other ladies looking good. Going to get a better fan this or next week for the hps. Experiment not that great. Also think I am going to use Advance Nutes next time.

This is an answer to your first question about where to get seeds...I dont know if you're still looking but dope-seeds.com is a 2/2 for me. Decent prices too. I think white widow, ak47 , bubblicious among other good strains were around 40 bucks.

Well they are getting big. Probly going to flower in a week or so. Ca't wait to put them on a 400 watt hps....

Well its been a while since I have posted, but here is my updat.

First!! 2 male 2 females. 1 DWC 1 Fox Farm Soil.

Waited a little too long to flower cuase I was waiting on this fan. But very little burning at the top. Fan keeps it at 80 or below. LOVE IT!!!

I think its going good for my first grow, and using DWC on my first time. COMMENTS PLEASE!!!
