Welcome ToThe White House 2018 - Dinafem Gorilla Diary

Lighting: HLG Quantum Boards X 3 - Top

Samsung Hinflux 301b Series Led Strips - Bottom

Medium: Canna Coco
Nutrients: Canna Coco A/B

Additives:
Canna PK13/14
Plant Works - Root Grow Hydro beneficial bacteria 1 20ml scoop in each pot.
Seaweed extract root drench 1 once a week.

Grow Style: Drain to waste. Modular Scrog and Sog

Posting some quick snaps and description of the flower cab now that it has been modified to have a top and bottom grow space and a lot of changes that are not seen without pulling it apart (never again).

Enviroment etc:

VEG: 24/7 lights on
EC 1.2 with a background of 0.4 EC
Nutrient Temp 20c

Top Level
Root Temps 22c lights on
RH54%

Bottom Level not being recorded atm

I cut my quantum board heatsinks in half and now have three boards spread out and screwed to the roof to light up the top level to give a more equal light spread over the canopy. I will be running these in and around 300-350watts max, will see how it goes.

The top shelf has 6 X Dinafem - Gorilla clone plants rooting out in 8l fabric pots filled with canna coco . There is also the mother plant in 8l fabric pot filled with coco that was used to make the clones. If I can keep here squeezed in she can flower out with the rest.

The bottom shelf has got 1 x scrog plant in 8l fabric pot that's sharing the space with 16 clones in 2l final tall plastic pots, these will be growing as a sog. Not sure if the strain will be suited for it but hell why not have some fun and keep things interesting with different style of growing in the same cab. These will be flowering out under 270 watts of Samsung Hinflux 301b Series Led strips once they arrive and I get them installed. The sog plants will need a week or two to root out a little before flowering as roots are just appearing on them now, 8 days from cutting. If all goes well using the Samsung strips I will be switching my quantum boards out and use them in my veg space when it gets rebuilt.

Not a bad job with the level canopy.

Wats up @zypheruk , I've got the RQS version of the Gorrilla.
Done from seed. I'm on my 3rd run of it now.
Strong as feck smoke and low odour... compared to some other stains ive done
Good for a stealth grow :D
Loving yer OCD scrog, as per.
Hope this latest run goes well for ya.
For a low height grow I can highly recommend the Sensi Star, I've one pheno that's a short squat plant that produces loads.
The Gorrilla on the other hand needs taming! Lol

How much did the humidifier cost ya? my humidity it deffo too low in veg

@lukio Welcome aboard, the humidifier is Challenge Ultrasonic Humidifier at argos £39.99. Works ok but to be honest it would be better to reduce extraction speed or raise humidity in the actual room your grow is in. That way it's not getting sucked straight back out.

A little update and some images.

The 6 clones on the top shelf have had some leaves removed, lollipopping and super cropping done to keep them low and spread them out a little. I will continue to train them out till I get the spacing I want to achieve then let them grow vertical to create the colas.

Image below of some clones, these will all live on the bottom shelf to grow in a sog, I will be taking another 18 clones shortly to eventually join the rest.

Just been sorting out my clones, 18 originally taken from the mother plant and I have kept 12 keepers. I think these girls can go another 4/7 days before putting into flower.
As per usual for me it's plain to see the purple stems once again. No matter what I do feed/environment etc it just keeps happening and normally goes once in flower.

Will do a another update later in the week once I get the new lights installed in the bottom of the cab.

Little update on the progress of the flower cab. All lights using Samsung chips. Quantum boards on the top level and the bottom level is running Samsung Strips (strips in testing and supplied by diyleduk).


Top shelf will have six Dinafem Gorilla Girls, they have been topped and trained to give either four or six tops each. I was going to fire a small scrog into the cab but im outa space. Sorry to the folks that wanted the scrog this run.

Bottom shelf will start of with (Gorilla batch 1) clones and once I see how much stretch during 12/12 there is I will have the second batch joining in. This will be a sog grow on this level.

I will be flipping the cab to 12/12 this Sunday the 9th.

Top level plants are being fed at EC1.3 straight canna coco a/b and a little bit of Epsom salts and are now on track.

Bottom level plants are fed at EC1.2 canna coco a/b, they will get a little blast of Epsom salts on next watering to get them back to health.

Top level temps are steady 27.4c lights on and around 21c lights off, Bottom level temps are steady at 27.1c and 21c lights off.
So that's it for today, have a good weekend.

Nice, clean setup. What are the dimensions of each chamber?

Note for myself.

Gorilla Clones (batch 2) roots at 9 days and put into final 2l pots. Veg for 14 days then check height etc.

Minus what for height of pots..........?

My RQS Gorrillas are starting to stretch now they're 14 days flowering, 12 on , 12 off.
I've around 50 inches of height from top of pots to ceiling.
Minus 8" from light to top of plants, minus 3" for heatsinks n fans.
39" to play with! Lol
Got the cxbs on them, bout 8" - 10" away.

@Moflow from bottom of the pots to the canopy atm is 15 inches. Should leave enough space, if not bendy time for them and maybe a net.
The clones atm have stacks of clearance, will add another batch in about 2-3 weeks. New space and lights so might take a bit of a learning curve.
Next grow will be shorter but wider fabric pots to help out.

It's nice to see one growing the Dinafem Gorilla. I'm considering to order a few RemoChemo and Gorilla seeds from them. Seems the most gg#4 strains like to stretch out and if the seeds are made from original GG#4 clones the gorilla's probably do it too. I see a lot of LST work coming to you within the next weeks, mate.
I already tried a few Dinafem strains(Amnesia, WhiteWidow, WhiteSibirian, Critical...) and can't say anything bad about them. On the contrary! Very consistent and healthy plants, good germination rate, good prices, no hermies, all top!
Your test comes at exactly the right time ..8)

Update for the girls on the top shelf.

They have had some more lst just bringing each top down for a level canopy and now is wall to wall also. I have about 2ft between the current canopy and the lights, so these girls will be on 12/12 starting tonight at 11pm.

I was going to flip last Sunday but the girls just where not at their best, and I don't like to flower plants until 100% healthy.

I have upped the feed from EC1.3 to EC1.4 and brought the Humidity up to 65% and bang girls are well happy, they need watered now twice a day, fabric pots are certainly rooted out now.

I will update whats happening with the lower shelf of sog plants once they are ready for flip.
