Singe some more primate hair and chill. This is a non stop flight to where no man has gone before. They are in complete control of your set. Get outside tomorrow. Should be good day to break this cabin fever.

Sweet. Wasted all my money on a pile of small toys. LOL.
That’s the last thing I did with the help of an online community. Did everything except block and engine assembly myself over 14 months, frame on ground up resto with all metal factory Body to start. Came out of Idaho was in a car port covered with shit for 35 years so that you could barely tell there was a car in it. Suspension on the ground, interior baked, motor seized. I did it back close to original color with some fine silver flake, BCCC 4/5. Had a carb fire a few years ago and insurance paid to repaint body line up and I put the dual quads on that I got at a swap meet years ago. Dyno puts it at 462 CI, 498hp/ 515tq.

I've been contemplating the LITFA thought. I spend a lot of time observing my plants. Of which I have many outside this hobby. And too much love is smothering. But I noticed my plants all starting to slouch so to speak a couple weeks ago. Keep the karma or vibes happy.

Topic for today’s discussion:

Easy things you have been taught or picked up along your growing adventure. Fact or Fiction, etc.

(No devices or gadgets other than your ‘McGivered’ shit)

From the start in up pots I water around the rim only. Theory being the roots are established in your cup or quart pot. You are forcing the roots to look for a new deeper water source and not saturating the stem.

Avoid any pumps unless you keep two replacements on hand. Avoid any nute program that requires more than one accurate measurements per mix.

You read my mind been 48-50 here, figured I’d give them a little rain forest weather but not for too long. Pitched a tent around my big south facing loft window this morning, should be perfect for quarantine and or veg. 12:40 daylight at 42N these days and getting longer.

Careful of heat build up behind glass. The sun is really cooking this time of year. I condition my plants at 15 hours light. Then put them out when I get 14 1/2h daylight. I try to get my starters outside in the sun for at least a few hours as soon as it hits 60F. Got lemon trees on the deck now. Only 56F.

Right now I just need a spot for a few weeks for the quarantine GG4 that was with the herm. GG4 seeds anyone?...lol broadcast garden out in the back 40.
Need to get a remote weather station for the loft, give me an excuse to go burn some rubber instead of all my stash. Anyone smoking more with the shutdown? I’ve went through couple OZ last two weeks...
I will say that GG is #1 for pain in my book. Havnt been taking much pain meds, still need gabopentin for nerve stuff/sciatic but don’t miss the Perks.

Herms suck. Even though I'm going to have to seed this GG. It is unique. Mother is too big. And I've had GG, WW or GC for too long now. Ready for a change.

Day 20 : seedlings are all holding their places and well into shooting a third node, growing strong and steady laterally with short internodes. Starting to see some roots through the blue cups ( next time I do clear and cover with dark cup , easier to monitor roots). Hoping to get them in flower by end of the month.

When when I transplant out of the rooter into qt pot on strains I havnt grown I like to use clear container ( I save all my construction screw box’s ) it lets me observe root development and gauge density for final pots. Nice thing is they fit right inside a black qt flower pot to block any light and prevent root rot. Arborist told me that a trees structure above ground will only spread wide and tall relative to its root growth With lateral development being around 1:1. So in turn if we take in to account we are training them just by limiting them to pots, and we plan on limiting the stretch, our goal is to create the most efficient mechanism ‘a pump’, to move water up to the tops of the plant. By growing it smaller than it would grow over a natural outdoor cycle and having a great root system. if we don’t make the stems as robust as the roots it will get rootbound and lock out because the roots are now a big sucking ball but they have no where to send the nutrients. Just what I have Learned and come to observe.

I agree with size being proportionate. But we are altering that by adding food and water. I have grown and witnessed massive plants in comparatively tiny pots. The limiting factors were always time, water and food. The stem efficiency drastically outperforms the roots naturally. A little more smoke and thought is suggested.

Day 21: off to the races with the seedlings. Starting third leafs almost cup wide lateral growth with good color. Seeing a few roots coming out the drain holes in cups.

Last three staggered runs of GG4 are all shooting hairs like dandelion tops. Nodes are starting to stack around 7 -8 nodes down. each plant is topped once at 4th node and have 7-8 main colas. Tallest is at around 6’ right now. Biggest are 21 days in, then 11 days, and a few in back just shooting at 6 days in.
