Hey Psytranceorgy, thanks much. Happy new years to ya! I got 6 plants under the 720w currently, and they do have Green spectrum in this model.

  • Another rule of thumb I developed is called the rule of .2. Every watering I change my PH by at least .2. I found keeping the PH always dynamic and drifting really helps decrease the chance of lockout, toxicity or deficiencies.

Now that's interesting........how long have been using this technique?? no defs/tox/lock ever!! since doing this???

I do this as well. Never called it the rule of .2, but I always vary between 6.3-6.7 to make sure the various nutrient uptakes are being taken care of.

I've been using it for the last year or so. It doesn't stop all toxicity/deficiency but it drastically helps decrease them, especially being due to a PH related. In the Chrome tent I went a little heavy with the nutes and there is some burn to the tips of some top leaves, but it's not going to effect the yield any as I caught it early enough to even it out.

Subbed. Excellent Grow! This makes me want to go back to LEDs. How are you liking the Blackstar?

The dry weight results from the Blackstar 720w Chrome tent are in!

If you have been following the grow, you know there were 6 plants in the tent, but the Trinity Kush plant was just not happy with the nute regiment and got overgrown. It turned out so snickely it has been discontinued from the garden and the plant was turned to hash instead of trimming it up. The following results are based off of 5 plants.

With that said, the LED results are quite close to the 69.3 gram per plant average I just yielded from a 1000w magnetic ballast tent. (https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/578538-wejuana-lighthouse-1000w-hps-showdown-2.html)

Watch the video for the complete breakdown.

Results:
Total Yield: 324.8 grams
AVG Grams per plant: 64.96

I could go for a chrome. I was happy with my old style blackstar so I had good thoughts about the new ones

All of my future LED purchases through Blackstar will be "Chrome" styled lights after seeing the results from this grow. The footprint of the light covers a 4x4 tent very adequately and the yield quantity and quality were definitely up to par in my opinion.

I'm adding a few new LED units to the line-up for testing. These babies just came in today and will be showcased in round 2, which should begin in about a week.

I'd like to see that 720 over a 4x4 screen. I bet it could pull some serious yields!

don't need to do scrog style with chrome they are designed for penetration into canopy. but scrog will increase almost any yield but i can't blame wej for not wanting to mess with it. i'm still loving my BS Chrome and i've only got the small 4 spot model had it for while now and good results

thou i like the idea of the Blu LED having more variety in its spectrum
