Weird taste from outdoor?

Sorry if this is the wrong section seemed like a good place for this. Super weird question. I picked up some outdoor at the shop same farm two different strains and a very almost perfume taste from both like they were the same. I have many times over the years had this weird taste on outdoor crops. Is it the curing process that causes it? Just curious so that if I ever grow outdoors this won't happen to me lol.

Royal highness and a peach cobbler I got from the shop. Last outdoor was love potion 9. I thought maybe terps were at play here def not a hay thing going on. Not that unpleasant just weird how consistent it is. Esp from two different strains off the same farm unless a mistake was made.

When googling around I have seen that mentioned. I bet your right it's some foliar spray. Ew. Wonder how it avoids the testing? Maybe a ppm thing we can still taste or what?

Thanks for all the replies. I still haven't finished that batch it's disgusting. Pretty damn shitty it's even allowed. Starting to feel like one of those old hippies and I'm not even old. They don't make weed like they used to I remember when I was your age everything tasted good and got me high lol

If it tastes like perfume it's not neem, neem makes it taste like rancid armpit. There are some organic fungicides that use essential oils like thyme oil or peppermint, but I've also heard of people using sprayable "flavors" on bud with no taste. I've even heard of people putting some potpourri or orange peels in with the bud, to cover up an even worse flavor, like mold. Lots of extremely shady practices out there.

Recreational Weed always taste the same in WA state. I feel it's from all the PGR'S they use. As well as inproper drying and curing. But Hay, I'm just a dude that grows for himself. So I Demand a Higher Quality from, well Myself. As opposed to some crappy Rec. weed. JM2C bongsmilie

Yea I'm down in Oregon. Whats PGRs? Just weird the buds here have more regulations than Cali and I wind up with gross tasting shit. Like it def shouldn't be labeled usable in the sense of smoking like cooking only labels I guess. I've noticed the bigger the company the more likely it happens of course. And def agree can't beat your own. You know how you want it I guess but damn I still feel everyone should be smoking that. Also def not mycerne. I know that taste well. It smells like rotten meat. This taste and smell is like putting an old lady in a pipe. And not the lavender terps old lady like a real old lady.

I always got awesome skunky shit back in the day before it was legal back when I was in WA. There's gotta be a dispensary around with good weed.

I'm in CO and some places suck ass and I walk out after I look at their weed. But there are a few places with bomb ass buds. Not that I've bought any since I've started growing though, lol.

Yeah I hear ya man. PGR'S are Plant Growth Regulators. Usually Synthetic plant growth hormones. I don't use em. :eyesmoke:

Wtf. One quick Google search on PGRs and my mind is blown. It literally explains so many frustrating aspects of modern dispo weed. Too dense doesn't burn tastes funny you name it. Damn. Well thank god I don't feel so bad now when my organic just won't get that dense even in a 45 gal lol. Thanks for all these insights. Changed my whole perspective and just when yah think you know about some shade too!
