Weird colors on leaves

Lower leaves turning yellow and feel very dry. Almost like it could crumple in your hand. The leaves mid way are starting to feel dry and getting a brown scaly edge to them in the sides of the leaves. Reminder my plants are still young (6weeks) I have been feeding a fox farm schedul but slightly less ppm’s than recremended (1700). The leaves in the picture turn yellow once they go under the led light. Almost like a light yellow tint compared the the other new growth on top. I’m backing off all Fertilizer for right now.

Apparently at week 6 I should be at over 2000 ppm’s According to fox farms feeding chart.
I rarely go over 800 ppm from start to finish. With plants that small I’d be feeding maybe 250 ppm. Best thing is to learn when to feed by looking at the plant and remember less Is more.

You are right it is hard to tell what is good or bad info on a forum.
These guys are good growers and giving you good info.
Those charts can be confusing.
The soil you choose to grow a plant in is one of the most important things.
You are using the fox farm chart but not there soil.
What are you growing with? What kind of soil?

I don't know if I'd say it's wrong. I'd say they don't know what it's being used on so it's a very basic one size fits all type thing. There's gotta be at least a couple people growing tomatoes with it. Use their chart as a loose guide. Most people start at a quarter strength and gradually increase it.

Different ppm meters also read different scales. The most common are 500 and 700 scales.

What are you growing in? It doesn't look like it drains very well.

Thank you everybody this all helps a lot!!!! And the soil I’m using is (ecoscraps 100%organic garden soil) got it at Lowe’s. I have 3 plants. 1 clay pot other 2 plastic with lots of holes made in the bottom. The clay one drain like a beast but it’s also pretty small. The other 2 plastic pots are bigger but they do hold water a lot longer than the clay pot

That soil may not be a good choice for MJ.
MJ likes soils that drain well. Some of the ecoscraps soils are designed to retain moisture. Perlite might have helped but you may want to explore other soil types.
