Weird Clone Growth

Hello all,

About 3 weeks ago I took a cutting from a mother plant in flower. I had heard that by taking some of the skin off of the stalk before you put it in rooting compound helped rooting tremendously. I put it in a peat pellet and let it sit under 24/0 light. Well I made the mistake of not cutting any of the leaves, and so it did not take off right away. Many of the leaves died. I cut some of the remaining green leaves and then I had roots the very next day. Now the plant has been growing like no other, almost a half inch some days. However, it is weird growth. The main stalk stopped growing and it developed two tops to the plant (the clone only had 1 before). Also, the leaves that are coming out only have 1 leaf out of every branch. Also, a lot of the leaves are elongated. Am I simply fretting over nothing? Attached is the picture. Any ideas?

I had similar experience with a dwarf leaf grow on a clone, the main shoot won't grow now but 3x side branches has grown a lot. Give it more time and it will grow normal leaves again.

six inches is rather large for a clone when i cut them i only have then 2-3 in above the soil. i have also heard less leaves more energy is used for roots
