I had to put my last auto in 12/12 lighting for about a week for it to flower....then I moved it back into 18/6 and was good to go.

100 % I can put a pick up
No need....just sometimes they can be overlooked thinking it's not flowering when it is in preflower starting...Just give it a few more days and go from there. If you don't see anything in the next few days....throw it under less lighting to induce flower.

So just to be clear then the good question was if flowering is delayed in an auto flower, does the clock keep "ticking" and would you lose flowering time?

Wears the help in that mate
Clarifying the question.

One way to think of it is, why wont it start flowering?

The other way is, if the flowering is delayed for some reason, will it have enough time to flower?

Interesting Qs unique to an autoflower. I do not know the answers, so I was clarifying what the question(s) were.

The clock only applies to when they switch from veg to flower. Flowering takes as long as it takes.

You sure you didnt accidentally order photoperiod seed?

No problem. It could easily seem like i was ignoring you but i realized the question really had 2 parts. I may believe i "know" flowering is a process that has a set timeframe but i never considered how a delayed autoflower might handle it. So your question helped me learn something and think about another thing i didnt know for sure.

If an autoflower takes 10 weeks from start to finish and its already at week 5 no flower...damn is it going to take longer or will it not finish? Now i know!

Cheers my brother (american for mate, lol!)

See that is what im saying.

I want you to know 100% the answer.

I saw that reply and assume it's right...it may say 70 days or 100 days but until it starts flowering, it has however many flowering days it needs.

If that isnt right, someone please say so!
