Weed makes me itch!!

Ever since I started indoors I notice when I crawl into my flower tent for maintainance, I come out feeling like I just took a bath in poison ivy. It only lasts a couple hrs then goes away but damn it itches! I work outside and other plants make me itch too, like juniper for example. Does this happen to anyone else or do I just have fairy boy skin?? Its hard enough crawling around in there without having to worry about putting extra clothes on lol..

That happened to me on the current grow with my Auto's. Considering the plant size and where my arm itched, it was a haze plant that did it to me. I'm curious if certain strains have a tendency to make you itch or not. This was the first time it's happened to me in 5 years growing so that's why I think maybe strain specific. Sour lemon haze is my culprit. Maybe a terpene thing?

That being said, it hasn't happened since.

I have allergies that some weed sets off and makes my face ich and etc with allergies like that of seasonal or dust etc. Especially when I deal with the kief of that same bag of weed. Idk what it is thats setting me off. Not sure I heard of that happening to others too.

In this world that is like being allergic to water.
We were at a bamboo conference and playing with the culm sheath leaves wearing them as hats. Well we were all scratching for a few hours some even had red spots on skin. Plants have weird mechanism for defense.
I would up the fan to vent area before you go into work. Then I would look at lightweight clothes that reduce skin exposure.

I get itchy from rubbing against plants, but only the buds. Veg plants aren’t an issue. That resin is a defense mechanism.

Ten years ago I had HPS lights and they would make me itch like crazy. I started to wear long sleeve shirts, but my hands would still get itchy. I don't have that problem with LEDs.

yeah i crush some dry fluff between my hands to add to my worm bin and it itches like crazy. but to be fair i am already pretty allergic to everything from soap to nickel haha

I've never gotten itchy, but sometimes I'd swear I felt slight numbness in the area when my forearms would brush up against sticky tops. I'm not allergic to anything.

Durban powerplant and some south african stuff genuinely does bring some people out in a rash if the brush up against the plants but i never heard of it in other genepools tho maybe u got very sensitive skin or something
