We have a horrible president

I had the pleasure of having a conversation with former General Thomas Franks of the US Army and I learned from him that everything that you read in the media is not what is going on over in Iraq. There are underlying issues that are not reported to us, the American people. After my conversation with him I am 100% supportive of what is going on in the war. Before my conversation with him, I was a little pissed with how things were going. Please be a little more understanding and know that we are in Iraq for a reason.

Gardenknowm, There is not anyone dying for my freedom in Iraq. They are dying cause Sadamm threatened "his daddy" and for oil, and for war mongers and for the war machine and for Halliburton and for Cheney, and for Wolfiwitz, and for political expansion and control and for the cartels, and for the tri-lateral commission, and for dozens of more WRONG reasons, but they are not dying for my OR your freedom. Sadly, very sadly.

Well said, Roseman. Being non-american, I fear for the future of Irak, it is going to be difficult to install democracy with a nation so divided. I am not justifying or defending saddams regime but that teaches, a government should think about the consequences of declaring war before aggresively invading a country for oil.

This war , although THEY tell us it is for American freedom, is not for the Americans. From my conversations with the gen. he led me to understand that the US is in Iraq to protect and babysit Israel. Every country that surrounds Israel hates Israel. I was also led to believe that if the US pulls out now that Israel would be destroyed.

I understand your frustrations and I don't even necessarily agree with what's going on. All I want is the truth, bring our troops home ASAP and party like it's 1999!
