The old request that politicians 'just be honest....'.
It's a massive oversimplification of the situations that ANY senior politician routinely finds themselves in.
When any answer they give will be used against them by one side or the other.
ALL SUCCESSFUL POLITICIANS MANIPULATE THE TRUTH, AVOID FULL DISCLOSURE or PASS THE BUCK
because that is a major part of the job description.
Bill Clinton was a master at giving answers that contained absolutely NO clarification to the question asked.
Obama and Hilary are, no doubt, equally gifted in this respect.
But when it comes to politicians telling outright lies THAT REALLY MATTER
the REPUBLICANS ARE THE CLEAR WINNERS - BY A LONG MARGIN.
BILL CLINTON WAS UNFAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE
RICHARD NIXON ARRANGED BURGLARIES AND SLUSH FUNDS TO FINANCE CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.
THE BUSH FAMILY HAVE ROUTINELY STARTED UNNECCESARY FOREIGN WARS AS A WAY OF JUSTIFYING THE APPROPRIATION OF HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS
IN SWEETHEART CONTRACTS TO THEIR FINANCIAL BACKERS AND SUPPORTERS.
When it comes to HONESTY in the WHITEHOUSE

is a little like a NAZI calling a LAPD Detective a RACIST.
BOTH HAVE A HISTORIC RECORD OF RACISM
But it's the question of degree that exposures one of them as a HYPOCRITE
making insincere and disingenuous complaints as a way to distract from the serious issues
and score political points.

If we limited the power of these fools and held their feet to the fire when they try to expand them, it wouldn't matter as much whether the shit sandwich we elect was runny or hard.
Unfortunately, we still have a majority of people who are cool when their party does it. We need to get away from that reasoning. We really were designed to be mostly self-governing. I say we get back to those principles and limit the damage our so called leaders cause.

It was 6 years ago but I still haven't come to terms with the fact that the REPS thought SARAH PALIN would be a good alternative to Hilary.
Can you imagine the meeting of Reps that led to this?
"Palin will make a good alternative to Hilary for anyone who want someone like her, but not her".
"Why. What attributes do they share?"
"Well, for a start, they both have a vagina where traditionally a politician keeps a penis".
"OK, that's a good start. What else?"
"Long hair - but in such a way as they don't run the risk of being called 'Hippies'."
"How do they manage that?".
"Oh...It's complicated......"
"Is it something to do with the 'vagina thing'?"

The entire selection process, this year, has been built around the lack of a penis....At one point we considered that guy who had his penis chopped off by his angry wife and that transvestite from off of The Crying Game. But we settled for Sarah because the other had the remnants of historic penis's left over. Sarah is 100% penis free....."

Since no libertarian has ever won a major election I think they have a good strategy in infiltrating the GOP. I don't recognize the republican party anymore and with their spending and government expansion, I don't see the difference anymore. Other than it might be just a tad less than other side. Their efforts to make the GOP actually stick to their own platform is commendable.
I chuckle when someone preaches personal liberties, personal freedom, personal responsibility, limited government and get called radical, terrorists and extreme by both sides. It means they are doing something right.
Our health care debate exposed what the GOP leadership really is. They kept offering shitty central planning plans to compete with the shitty central planning plan we went with. Very few had the nerve to say "let's let the states decide like we are supposed to" and those who did got crucified.
I'd love to sit with a group of WWII vets who lived through the FDR "recovery", and put their lives on the line defending our way of life, just to get their perspective of things today. Especially things like drone bombing citizens and "that hateful video".
I tell you what, when females can compete with men in athletic events without having to have their own divisions, I'll support sending them off to fight.
When females don't need any "special" protection from "domestic violence" or "rape" because they can't defend themselves from men, I'll support sending them off to fight.
But as long as BIOLOGY dictates that females will be SLOWER, have LESS endurance, LESS strength, and LESS muscle mass than males, I will NOT pretend that females make good warriors. They DON'T. Men do not respect females the same way we do males, and we sure as fuck don't fear them.
Our fighting men deserve better than that. Period. It's a g'damn shame assholes are willing to risk the lives of good men just to appease chicks that want to pretend to be "warriors".
The military needs female troops about as much as they need troops with down syndrome.
A fair amount of evidence exists that makes it look like FDR knew the Japs were coming after pearl harbor. Yet he did nothing, except send the cv ships out.
Fact is, from reviewing the historical record, he either knew or should have known. If he knew, is a lie of that magnitude not several orders larger than what Nixon did, thus making democrats the undisputed king of harmful lies?

No one is sending them, misogynist. They demand it. And if think some of these gals are not stong enough, you are just wrong. The problem is they are smarter than men, the advantage is they are more vicious than men.
I think there should be women combat Brigades. Then no on has has to carry a 250 pound man with all his gear, but the men.

In otherwords, Beenthere, as always with the right, there is only naysaying, conflict and despoiling. Never a constructive suggestion, never an act in good faith, never anything but no or not good enough, or a scoff and a snort. Everything about the present is wrong but do you folks present an alternative worthy of our attention? Not sence Reagan and that was a long long time ago. And legislation? I can't see any legislation presented by the right that might help the majority of Americans. "flag apprecion day", "Sense of Congress "resolutions" regarding mothers" "freedom fries", usless nonsense.
If you folks are sooo damn smart and soooo offended by lying cheating politicians, then how about your putting some of them up for us to vote upon.
