Yea I have taken my pump in and out of my AG res probably 10 times today.
I have finally come to the conclusion that not all airstones are equal.
Using the same tubing, and a shitload of water in my kitchen sink I tested all of them with my 15 gal pump, and the best thing was using one 5" airstone... The other ones got almost no air, all from the same lengths of tubing, idk what the deal is, I even switched the tubes, no different, this airstone just destroyed all others, even the original 10" airstone (its about the same but the 5" one makes some bigger bubbles).
The main advantage to this one is that when I take the pump out I can just take the airstone out with it, it was always a bitch working around mine with my previous setup.
