Watts Per Sq/Ft

Hey guys!
Just a quick question about watts per sq/ft. When calculating do I do my WHOLE grow space or just the floor measurements?

My space is 2’(wide) x2’(wide) x4’(tall). So when looking at my light and square feet and I at 4sq/ft (2x2) or 16sq/ft (4x2x2)?

Light is an HLG 100v2 3000k for those wondering.

Height isnt in the calculations for watts per square foot. Just the floor space being grown on by the watts used.

You have 4 square feet to light.

Just floor space (unless you have a large room and grow massive plants and use side lighting.)

Your light is perfect for that space.

Being that your light is not dimmable from what I can tell you should hang it rather high during veg as that light can veg a 3x3 area and flower a 2x2. You don't need such intense light for veg, especially with young seedlings and clones.
