Watts per house

Hi all

Whats the crack with how many watts can use in a single house?

Small grows obviously not gotta worry about suspicion but im thinkin of doin a large one. I read a few years back try not to go over 1000w per bedroom in a house, but does anyone KNOW what is safe? Anyone talk from experiance??

Much appreciated

As long as you can keep it all cool enough for growin'. You can use as many lights that you can afford. Make sure the service box has enough juice to fill your needs, 200 amps.

True, you consider fridge, and other appliances, you're house uses a fair bit of electricity. Pay your bill on time for sure. AC will use a lot of electricity too. Pay your bill, don't try to steal power either. Haha trust me though people try it and that's a quick way to get busted.

i have heard from people more experience that 1000w per bedroom is a good point to be at. anything more and red lights go off at the utility company... in canada anyways.

Im in CA as well good to know what i can getaway with looks like i might go with a 600w instead of 1000... i should just rent an empty apt for a couple months and blow it out lol

ya idk how its going to be bc i havent got it yet it comes in tommarrow. but heres is the link for the ac unit read up on it and tell me what u think. the fan says it rated at 312 CFM. it also says it has a Built-in ionizer. but the one think iam worried about will that screw up the co2 for the room bc i was going to rig my 6" intake hoses for my two tents (flower 5x5x6) ( veg,4x4x6) to the outlet of this fan bc it will be putting out cold air that witch will bring down my temp in my tent.

PS heres the link for the fan

Do ya mean the circuit cool enough? The heat from the lamps wouldnt be a prob, got that covered.

Do you know if i would have to do anything to the house circuit/system?

Thinkin bout 5000-6000w

Cheers to everyone

I suppose yea.... but if you got 2, 5 bed houses next door to each other and ones got 12 400w lights in, and a fridge/small tv etc surely its gonna stand out like a turd in a swimming pool to the elec company?!? :-?

Cheers

Anyone done a big one?

i don't mean to be rude, but I got a few friends that are/have been commercial growers, they dont even look on these forums cause of the heat factor. I'm in Canada as well, and know ppl personaly that have run 16 1k-HPS in a 5 room house, there advice to me--don't steal power, don't stink, & pay ur bills on time no matter what, I still get nervous about sudden spikes though. Just my 2 cents
