wattage question

i am 2 days into bud they are under a 600w at the moment. would it be best if i turned the wattage up straight away to 1000w or should i leave it a week or so?

If you got it, use it. Assuming you can adjust your light to plant distance and cooling appropriately.

yes i have a total of 1600w would i get better results if i use it start to finish in bud or gradually build it up through the weeks?

How much light you should use depends on how many square feet of space you are using to grow in. Without knowing that, any suggestion on lighting would just be speculation.

I say the more wattage the better the grow, the more the buds.

Yeah figure out your sq ft of your grow space. The minimum you want is either 50 watts/sq ft or 5000 lumens per sq ft. I'd shoot for 70 watts a sq ft or 7000 lumens. That's just what I run at and get good results.
