you're fine if it drains, I have my babies in 4'' containers and they sometimes need water everyday, I kinda squeeze the container to loosen the soil and pull the whole thing out to see if the soil is dry, if it is,water. they will also wilt a bit when they're ready for water.

MG also will cause root burn to marijuana roots, you want whats called "soil less soil".
you should try calling or going to the plant nurserys in your area. avoid hard ware stores, they seem to never the right pots or soils.

I have one question i have been doing alot of research on this before i start have been studying diff things now for about 2 months now. i got almost everything down PH am ok with need to keep my medium at about 6.5 ph now when it comes to Ppm i get a lil lost i know what ppm is, how much zink and all the other shit u have in your water i know i need to keep my ppm at about 4-600 at first is what i have found out and go up from there but how to i know when to boost my ppm up as the plant grows and starts to take in more water is that all it means do i just give it more water ?? or is there a way to add ppm to your water???

ya I think im already gettin sum nut burn because on one of my plants two leaves looked like they had brown spots but when I toook a closer look it looked like the top of the leafe was peeling back from the top of the leaf if that m,akes any sence at all but I dont think I can pull the plant and dirt out of the pot the plant is still to small im sure it will break ok so I know after a while all that fertilizer they put in there goes away it has to Doesnt it? so when feeding my plants for the next month or so when feeding should I really dilute my plant food(7-4-10) or maybe not even feed it nut's at all?? thanks for the help guys

Don't feed. The Miracle Grow has an abundance of strong fertilizer in it... too much for marijuana. But I've used it before with no problems; you just gotta know how to utilize what you have.

Water. With regular water, tap even (but distilled is better). Water as often as possible, but without overwatering (the plants will droop if this starts to happen). You want to flush out those MG fertilizers as quickly and efficiently as possible; the plant will make use of what there in the mean time. After a good while of doing this, THEN you can start feeding. Feeding your plants now means some serious nutrient burn and probably a premature death. Just be patient, my friend.

You probably wont need to use nutes for at least a month, maybe two. I used the same soil and vegged for 2.5 months and did not use nutes once. I transplanted into a bigger medium just before flowering and used the same brand as you after transplant. I didnt use nutes for the first 2 weeks of flowering, when I did use nutes i used botanicare pro bloom and right away got nute burn. The miracle grow soil has time release nutrients, which ultimately means its gonna take some time for it to balance itself out.

No. That's "Spring Water", which some use. Distilled water is water that has been distilled... all of the mineral and bacterial impurities have been removed by a still. You can find any store brand, anywhere. It's dirt cheap too... Spending only a few bucks can get you a canister that holds several gallons and fits neatly in your fridge. Or buy by the gallon for as low as 60 cents. I can tell you that there definately is a difference, but tap water will work... It just builds up a lot of minerals and such in the media. It tastes better too if you just want a glass of water. ;-)

if you want good water for cheap go to the 5 gallon jug filler thing at ur supermarket. get a bucha them 5 gallon jugs they use for water cooler and fill em up. 1.50 for 5 gallons of water that has been filtered like 10 different ways. cant beat that unless you buy a R/O filter for your home.

Exactly what I was talking about when I said "canister" of distilled water. I wasn't sure how much one contained since I hadn't bought one in a while.

what about boiling the water and leaving the water in the sun for about 24-48 hours (obviously its going to take more then 2 days) does that even help?? or am I just waisting my time????

dont use fox farms soil its a waste of money......

way to expensive for what you get... dirt with tons of nutrients...

get some ProMix HP and add some worm castings 3:1 ratio.... perfect mix

about the water.... did you know your faucet has plenty of it? thats more than good enough to grow plants with.... all you need to do is let it sit out over night in a bucket so any chlorine will evaporate. You also need to get a PH test kit about $15 and some PH up $5 and some PH down $5 and you make sure your water has a neutral PH of between 6.5 and 5.5. There you go perfect water for your plants. That botled water distilled or whatever always has either a really high PH or a really low PH wich does absolutely nothing for your plants dude.....
