watering problems

Hello everyone. I am a first time grower. I am growing growing 3 plants each is a different strain ( Girl Scout Cookie, Cherry Pie. and Platinum GSC). I am using Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil. Right now the plants are in 3 gallon smart pots. I have yet to give them nutrients. I Ph the water to 6.2. They are 5 weeks veg. I have them under 1000w full spectrum LED's. 18-6. The problem I am having is everytime I water I get the clawing and bright orange tip. This last watering I waited 7 days after my last watering before I watered again. The plants were starting to look good before I watered, but almost immediately after watering the tips started to claw. If this is some kind of nute burn or nitrogen toxicity, how do I stop it if I haven't been adding any nutes?
The first picture is of the Platinum GSC which seems to be the most affected
The second picture is of the Cherry Pie ( It has a deformed leaf from about 2 weeks ago)
The third pic is GSC.

Thank you very much for your help
Chris

You're fussing, and that's not even really anything to be concerned about. Seriously. And you cant stop it if that WAS what was actually happening. And I'm really not sure you should bother adjusting the PH of your water. Its really not necessary. No weed grows in ideal conditions. Why are you trying to baby it along. I do like that you waited a good chunk between some waterings. You don't need to add any nutes until you start too see the first few bottom leaves start yellowing. this is a natural process and you should let them.

Thank you Sgt. Sly. I just don't want it to get worse as time goes by. I guess I am a little paranoid about ruining my girls.

Plants look good. Out of curiosity how much water are you giving each plant?

These mother fuckers can bounce back from having round up sprayed on them. Just don't over water or over fertilize. They can handle just about any other type of abuse.

I am watering until I get a good amount of run off maybe 20%. I was just watering with tap water without checking the Ph. They were not looking good so I got a Ph meter and found that my tap water is Ph 8.4-8.9. so the last waterings I have been Ph 6.0 and 6.2. my plants are growing in a closet where the temp is from 68-74 degrees and about 40% humidity.

I'm in the same boat as you, regarding using ffof, no nutes (yet), and being a newb. The advice given above is sound advice from more experienced growers.

The only .02 I would add is that 68 degrees might be a little on the cold side (but I doubt it's an issue). You got decent humidity and good pH. Since no nutes yet check your fan and lights and see if that may be affecting your plants somewhat.

I had a little bit of claw moved my fans off it a bit, adjusted my lights back to 24in (using LED) and it seemed to get rid of the claw.

An idea for the future....
For my liking, under MY conditions, FFOF gets too soggy initially, very dense when fully saturated... Then as it dries out, it goes full on sponge brick. I've had better success with adding more perlite, like 2/3 FFOF, 1/3 perlite....
Now of course this requires more frequent watering, but that's how I like to run em....
