Watering help!!

Hey guys, does one have to start watering more once you begin flowering? what are sigins that i give them to little. I have 4 plants about month and a day old started flowering 5 days ago. I give them each 2 cups of water every otherday. medium/bright colored green but no yellow. I think they look real healthy! I heard some people water there plants a liter a day! whats that about? please comment! thx!

First off how big are your pots and watering every other day with just a little is not a good way as it keeps the soil wet then the roots will stretch and youll get root bound but usually or what i do as alot of others do my girls are in a 3 gal bag pot or pot and i feed onece a week the honest best way is to go by pot weight you feel the pot when it is dry and needs water then feel it when its been watered and just wait for it to go light again

or another method i use is in small pots 1 gallon or less stick yer finger in up to the first knuckle on your finger if its damn or wet dont water if its dry wtaer

and for bigger pots 2 gal up bury your finger to the second or all the way in and repeat step above

Plants have different needs. You must learn to read them and plan a step ahead. Keep the soil evenly moist. Never allow it to get completely dry.

The bigger they get, the more they drink.

A good way to tell is by lifting up the pot. If it feels soggy and heavy... then your probably good for another day or so. If it feels light, as if there wasnt any moisture in the pot... then give them a nice flood of water, till you get some coming out the botom.

Yea you water when it needs watering not based on a timeframe.

However as time goes on that will increase since as the plant get larger they transpire more (more leaves area, more transpiration). I grow in 5 gal buckets and in the last 2-4 weeks I will usually be watering a gallon or more every day or 2, because in 1 day the pot is dry...in the beginning of flowering it may be 4-6 days or more between watering.
