Hello,
Me and my friends have been disputing one issue so you might clear us out. Its regarding watering.
We just planted clones in pots of 11l (not possible to do few transplants so we plant to final container right away). We always use automated bottom to top system for watering in flowering but use hand watering now.
Grow is in coco, rule says that there should be 10-20% run off from each pot.
But is this the rule in this case when they are planted right away in final size pots?
So in order to have 10-20% run off in 11l pots we need 1.5 litre water to go through the pot, it dries out in 3 days at least, and that is a lot of nutrients and water wasted on a big grow.
Should we water newly transplants until switching to 12/12 (in a week) until run off of 20% or should we just water them a little bid and more frequently without run off and than just flush once before starting the automated system?
My point is that having run off in 1l cups and in 11l pot is not the same water &ec& nutrient amount for plant, my friends say that is not true.
Any judge here?
