Let me first say that I grow under proposition 215 and sb420 currently in the state of California. I am a military vet that has a passion for growing and smoke it for my ailments.
OK, now down to the sticky icky.
I am currently working with a Waterfarm system. My last grow was 2 of the 8 pack systems. It was..... a lot of work. Well now that I am back, I am dropping my system down to perfect it, shall you say.
My current setup is:
1, 6x3x7 grow lab
6 buckets with 2 reservoirs. I took the big ones on top off and am just using the small lower ones. I really think if you are not using the full system, you don't really need that much water.
2, 6" hydrofarm fans. 1 for the intake, 1 for the out take.
2 air pumps, 2 water pumps
I have moded my waterfarm system with 2 circulating pumps to circulate the water.
I have also moded it with 2 shut of valves so i can drain the water easier if need be.
2 hydrofarm t5 , I have red and blue spectrums for both veg and flower.
1, 4" fan (for extra breeze)
2 moded airs tones i made with parts of the waterfarm system.
1, 4" carbon filter for intake
1, 6 inch carbon filter (going out)
Nutes include: Mother Earth Grow & Bloom Tea Organic, and or, Buddha Grow & Bloom Organics
My soil includes: Happy frog soil with vermiculite.
Water system in on for 8 hours a day from 5-9am and 4-8pm
Light: 24/7
Water is always ph to 7 , since this is a new experiment with a hydro/ soil combo, i want the ph to be neutral so the plants take all the nutes from the soil before i start giving them other organic nutes.
I am a hippy, so i put quarts crystals in the res to weigh down the air bubblers i made I really am unsure of the effects that will take place by doing this.
I have to say, when i first started this one, i gave the babies nutesreally doing some major damage with nute burn, lockout, whatever. It sucked. But now they are recovering better than ever and I am proud to say all of them will make it!!!
Attached are some photos, suggestions are always welcomed. I would love pointers and help making this system the best it can be ( and yes i have read all of the other waterfarm threads) they gave me some good ideas, but I know there can always be more
Much Love!!!
