Hi everyone,

I have been busy catching up with led technology, reading all your set up, and genius idea.

My space is 1,6' x 2,6 and 4,6 high. I plan to make a led panel better than my former lumatek 400/250w and small addjust a wing combo without changing anything else of the wardrobe.
results were 230g when using 250W all along and 320gr when using 440W for last month in a similar area.

I will go with :
4 Cxa 3070 3000K, 24 hyper red oslon SSL and 4 RW oslon SSL.
to power the cxa I thought of this, and a 700mA driver to power the oslon.
A switch for each white, a switch for each blue and a switch to power red 3 by 3.
Also cxa will be equipped with lenses( angelina Wide 48° )

pretty similar to positivity set up until the dissipation:
I have in my possession a water cooling kit including a 1L reservoir, a eheim 600L/H pump, and a 4" heat exchanger/heat sink for water-cooling.
My plan is to use two rectangular aluminum pipe of approximately 24" and to run 2 cxa plus a string of oslon on each.
The water will circulate in the first one, go upward in the heatsink where it will be cooled down, then go downward in the second pipe, and finish in the reservoir containing the pump, it will be there be cooled down due to the amount of liquid before redoing the cycle.

To properly cool down the liquid, My exhaust (140/225 two switch) will pull air through the heatsink.
regarding the quality of the exhaust I am sure that it will not stop working so the only less reliable part is the pump but eheim is one of the best brand and it as been working for a long time now like a charm.
The heatsink is normally able to dissipate 120W with a small fan like the one you use on your aircooled heatsink (let's say 80CFM) hence I guess it could easily handle the 210W of heat from the led in this configuration. Especially if we take into account the loss of heat during the cycle with air exchange.

I think a delta of 5° could be possible I think as I was able to achieve 30° for a cpu of 100W and a small 12mm fan ( makes a 10° delta). If so, the Tj would barely exceed the 35°.

Problem I could think of:
(A) The pipe is only 2mm thick and I think it is good to have thin layers when dealing with active cooling but I am not sure the heat will be taken quick enough from the cxa base...
(B) the heatsink is at 4,5' from the floor, and when I will get my panel lower, the pump will have to push harder. I am not sure I could get it more than 15" under the heat sink. that would mean that I will have the panel approximately 3,2 feet from the floor and hence 2 feet from the plant when they will be young. Do you think the light you'd be powerful enough thank to the lenses? I plan on doing 0 to 3week veg and make 6 plants in 2,5 gallon pot like I used to do with hps.

I would like to hear what you think of that please before going further.
Do you think it's a fair challenge? making 320gr in such a small space with 300W of led. :)

Ps: please forget my english, I am not native anglophone.

Hum, 600g with 300W of led, I can't believe I can do that... Especially in a 0,4m2 area... Even with critical mass I don't think anyone will never be able to pull 1500g/m2.

But yeah 300g is possible in this area (600/700gr per m2)
