Water uptake slowing down? +rep

So I have a small concern regarding an issue i've been noticing the past few watering cycles...

Info:

5 Plants each in 5gal buckets with 100% FFOF
proper ventilation with 3 circulating fans in my tent

I've noticed that my plants have slowed down with their water uptake and was just wondering if this is normal in the first week or so with flowering since the hormones are switching around.

I've been told that you don't need as much water during the flowering stage as your veg.

Thanks for the words of advice. I will look more into this as i've heard different but of course i've heard something before that i thought to be true and found out it was wrong and once i corrected it i saw a huge difference in my room.
