I have a drip feed system to feed my plants, they all seem very perk and are on day 8 under the HPS, day 11 being exposed to light. I use rockwool with hydroton in 5" pots.
I am keeping them on a 18/6 light schedule and watering every 6 hours.
The lights will turn on at 1:45pm and turn off at 7:45am. I've read not to water the plants at all during the of hours, and I have started watering at 10am, this is close to 4 hours before lights come on, and 12 hours after last watering. I feel this is a problem, although my plants seem very perky, I think they are getting deprived during the 12 hour dry period.
I will still be on a 6 hour iteration 3 times a day for a 15 minute duration, but will change the timer to: 4:30pm, 10pm, 4:30am. This will give me 3.5 hours after lights come on, and 3.5 hours before lights shut off.
Will it hurt to adjust my watering cycle?
