water quality

This may be the wrong thread to post in, as i grow in soilless, but it is about water so i figured you hydro guys would have the most experience with that...

Ive been trying to decided whether or not to go with RO water and the research i have done says that if you are over 300 ppms of tds then RO is a good idea...

So question 1:
My water fluctuates between 200 and 270. So i was thinking RO might not be a bad idea, but probably not necessary???

My city posts a monthly water quality report. It lists all the chemicals and solids with a a number that i imagine relates to proportion somehow, but it doesnt say how or what.... who knows how to interpret those numbers (they must be standardized)?

An RO system is a good investment regardless. I used to use distilled water for a long time and I can tell you in a place with 250ppms in the drinking water I didn't have as mny fluctuations with nutrient strengths using distilled. The extra salts and minerals can give you fits in high ppm water because they may cause ur plants to only intake part of the nutrients.

i started using RO about a year or go over 250 PPM tap or distilled water that takes longer to acquire than RO

it allows you to control every single PPM that you want your plants to eat :)
had multiple problems cleared up by switching water sources only the best for my little ones !
