Water in Holding Tank?

Should I do anything special (air stone, h202, bleach) to the 55g closed loop system that will be connected to my chiller cooling my icebox and my nutrients? I want to prevent any algae or slime growths.

Is this a hydro rez? For 55 gallons i would recommend at the very least 4 6" air stones. Algae cannot grow as long as no light gets into it. As for slime it just depends, my nutes always create a little slime, others are totally clean.

Well, there will be no nutes in it. It will be strictly pure water that I use to cool my light, and that I will use to cool my nutrient reservoir through a coiled stainless steel tube. This system will be completely closed off from any and all contact with outside air.

Anybody? This is just a top off reservoir... nothing but 55 gallons of pure water that I store in the closet for easy top offs.
