Water Curing Question

I just harvested my first grow. it was a pretty basic grow, good dro seed outdoor in potting soil with no nutes or ferdalizer. Nothing fancy about it. Im using a common air dry for most of the crop, but im trying out the whole 'water curing' thing for a few nugs. is the main purpose of the water cure to flush the nutes and what not? if so, since i didnt use any, would it require a full 7 day soak? or is the 7 day length for something else? just mainly a curious question, i plan on doing the 7 day soak regardless just to make sure, but any input would be appreciated!

The purpose of water curing is too lose all of the chlorophyll and other plant like materials leaving mainly just thc since thc is not water soluble. I believe that 7 days is necessary for this to work properly. Make sure to change water every day and keep the buds submerged. Also keep in a dark place and do not cover.

yeah do the 7 days regardless, but i think you don't even need to flush if you water cure it all. I did it with one of my reasonable sized buds and it shrinks it into a little shit, that hardly smells. It was nice and smooth, and got me higher than the normally cured stuff
