Water cure

Edibles seem to work for my back pain but hate the green taste.
Read about water curing & thought Id give it a try.

14 g of GSC bud..already dried & jarred 6-8wks... I have read you can use green bud just clipped or dry (?)
RO water to cover bud, changed twice a day
uncovered in darkIMG_1794.JPG

after 7 days.. remove from jar, I used salad spinner, then onto a cookie sheet, into 220f oven for
an hour or so,
dried & decarb'ed

as I said I did this for non-cannabis taste edibles...

But rolled a couple of J's to try, IMG_1797.JPG

no taste or smell, ALL bag appeal gone...but smoooth smoke & still as strong......
I wouldn't do it myself for smoke, I enjoy the taste & smell of dank too much..

Im making some canna/coconut oil now with the remaining now for the edibles, I'll post results tomorrow..

Also dropped a little over a zip in another water bath for next round..

anyone ever TRY water curing themselves ?
any input....

I agree with you 100%. Water cure would be great to remove the marijuana tatse for edibles, but as you stated not so great for bud that you're planning on smoking. I also believe water curing has it's place for flowers that were sprayed for pests or PM. A water cure will remove a lot of the residual spray and any bugs (and their droppings/eggs) that may still be on the flowers.

Well played Bob!

I searched threads before I posted, wish yours would have come up.

guess Im doing things right,
did bout' the same as you,
first test of smoke was good with no taste,
I don't see why it won't carry over to
edibles.
I personally haven't tried it in edibles but I agree it should be perfect. Nice clean taste.

No "green" taste...

seems to work fine

Just put another zip underwater, wanna try again.....
Thanks for this post. I had read PtheD's thread and tried the water curing. It was interesting as an experiment, though I'm ambivalent about the taste. I think you're on to something using it for edibles. I see another experiment coming on...:)

I've watercured crappy outdoor that I hated the flavor but liked the high. That was 20 years ago before I extracted oil.

I would extract BHO, winterize, decarb and then use to cook.

SCFE would be best for edibles as it decarbs.
