Actual water cooling. What’s a thermoelectric?
Water cooling is overkill and honestly a big tubular mess for these fixtures. You'll see...

Thermoelectric Cooling is done by a Peltier which is a ceramic chip with pos and negs flowing through "holes" and one side gets burning hot while the other gets ice cold. Just google "peltier cooling".

Not trying to sound stupid but I didn’t find the chiller you were talking about. I’m new to them so I’ll just get the one I posted. Will that work?

If you're talking about the 100w one, I think you'll be really dissapointed but you do whatever you wanna do.

How about switching to a mini F & D? I use a cooler as my rez and simply rotate blue ice paks

Many benefits; easy to watch water level, check pH/ppm drain old nutes...

I use my well water as a chiller. I ran a 1/4" refrigerator waterline into my res, a 55 gallon barrel. Looped up about 20 ft with zip ties, then feed out to a drain. I need to control it with a small valve. If leave it wide open it will drop the temp to 52°F.15888632972557728270669786566415.jpg
You would not need a very large coil of tubing to control that small amount of water. Cheapest water chiller I could find. Less than $20.

I give the same advice to anybody in a small dwc setup that is thinking of buying a water chiller......ditch dwc and go drain to waste if you live in a country where you can easily pick up the medium. Same results, less hassle, less watts. And as someone who has made their own mini fridge chiller, coke bottles and everything out there, just spend the money and get a real aquarium chiller, it will cost you less in the long run because you are going to throw out all that other crap once you realize they don't cut it.

Don’t forget the pump you’ll need too

(come to the dark side - drain to waste)
