it takes a certain level of patience to get into

its a decent show, storyline and concept based on aspects rarely seen on tv

ill take oz sopranos and wire for HBO lineup

Hmm. I've been wanting to watch this show myself but have to many going at the time. It may be a show that takes a minute to get into, I've fell trap to many shows that I thought sucked ass, but after some reconsideration & patience, found it to be more then enjoyable. It's hard for a Showtime/HBO show to suck, because the writers are more edgy, the topics are more broad, & the overall show is more adult. It's hard to fail when your allowed almost complete freedom as to what your characters say/do.

Californication is pretty bomb, but... I don't know if that same opinion applies to peoples outside the California area. I would assume so, as many people from everywhere watch these shows other wise they'd tank, but it's hard for some to get into it because it explores a lot of the 'California' life. For me, growing up & still residing in California, it's bomb of course, I can relate to most the aspects of the show. I would give it a try, there is a lot of nudity, sex, good acting, POT USE, & even cocaine use.

if it takes the equivalent of 2 months worth of episodes to get into the story its not a very good show.
