Okay this is going to seem a little strange and off the wall. I just want to lighten up the mood round here a little.

I thought maybe I was extremely stoned a few weeks ago when i was looking at the trichs on one of my Widows with a 60x scope.

While I was admiring the beauty, I saw a trich head explode and then simply disappear into thin air. Although it only took about a second it was kind of amazing to see. I thought maybe I was seeing things until it happened again just the other night. I now think this is what may happen all the time on a pot plant.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Or was I super high?

Either way I win.

Whatcha think?

the only time ive ever heard of trichome heads exploding is when you place freshly harvested buds or trim in the freezer before letting them dry. unless you have unusually drastic temperatures in your grow room, then you were just seeing shit.

could it of been just a flash of light flickering through the trich, giving the appearance of explosion/bursting?

Does anyone know if the resin filled heads of the trichs explode naturally while the plant is growing? Seems like a good way for the bud to become sticky to catch pollen.

I don't know. Just askin.

The other day I saw something weird in my scope just before harvesting my Dream Queen's. I literally saw resin oozing out of the heads and it looked like little spikes of resin coming out of the glands kind of like icicles.
