Alright as much as I hate to admit it (well honestly i dont have a problem doing so) i am a newb to growing. My plant is on day 12 of flowering and all through its life including now the plant has looked really good, strong, and healthy, and I was hoping i wouldnt have to ask too many questions as I have been doing a lot of reading. So.. I have a few questions..

The plant now measures almost 14" tall, has about 14 nodes, stems are long and have growth everywhere. I am an indoor cfl grower. Buds are popping up everywhere as well starting to flower. the plants a nice dark green (not dark dark green) and I have it in a 2-3 gallon pot. I do not overwater nor do I underwater. Typically water every 3-5 days with just a little over a quart. during the veg stage I used only some Dynamite 18-6-8 plant food (like balls i threw onto the soil) every other watering or so, Now as i am almost 2 weeks into flowering I still use some of the Dynamite as well as adding some Schultz 10-15-10 plant food (added to the water) So theres kinda a recap on my grow but if you have anyother questions please ask.. So here are my q's...

1. I noticed today that my plants roots have reached the bottom of the pot (see the roots through the water/breather holes) I would guess the pot holds 2-3 gallons but it measures about 8"w (at the top) x 6" tall. Should I transplant? Im a newb grower so im not going to be the greatest transplanter.

2. I said I would never trim or cut any leaves, because I understand the importance of all leaves. Yet i just did. I cut off the lower 10 leaves or so (maybe about 1" worth from the very bottom of the cola (yes 10 leaves/stems for 1" of my plant, like I said it has LOTS of growth) . I noticed one leaf was dead completely just 1. and it was like the very first leaf the plant had. But I cut off a few more surrounding the leaf because they were kinda just in the way and a little droopy, they got in the way and made it hard to water. (No bud growth down there). So did I hurt the plant!? keep in mind I still have tons of leaves probably over 50 that will recieve light, I thought missing a couple probably wouldnt hurt much.

I appreciate any advice. Im gonna stop here dont wanna make this first post too long. thanks RIU :leaf:

i think u should transplant them quickly, not in a hurry, just get a larger pot and do it in order for them to continue growth, cut down the nutrient to only water in a couple weeks, and let the leafs drop by themselves.

Should I transplant?
yes ASAP, MJ is a deep grower and will grow best in a tall pot or like I use a grow bag. Don't be afraid to transplant anytime , it's a very resilient plant.
You'll be OK with the leaf trimming. good luck :peace:

Ok, so are you saying start watering only every 2 weeks..? or stop with the dynamite balls and just add the schultz to the water every 2 weeks..i believe thats what you meant correct? thanks for the input

Ok, I will try to get at least a somewhat bigger pot, at least. Heres the thing. Im 19 years old (have my medical card)and currently moved back in with my grandparents. I was growing my plant kinda nonschalant like it was whatevers in my room and My grandfather saw the light through the cracks in the door and questioned me about it and didnt want me growing. I have respect for my family and the house that isnt mine. I have kinda bonded with the plant you know what I mean and have been taking care of it since it was like 2" with like 2 stems. I dont want to give it to a friend because I know they wont take care of it or put as much pride into as I have. And I would be dissapointed if they failed on getting buds, at least If i fail then it's my fault. I threw it into an old closet full of junk in my room and had to make it work somehow so i pushed shit to the side and made a little room. Im flowering now so I have HOPEFULLY only another 6-7 weeks before I chop her down and harvest my herb. And then im DONE growing until I get my own pad again (cant wait ) I just want to pull this one grow off. I dont want to kill the plant or give it away like I said. So with that said my closet space is tight and getting a taller pot will be tricky.. But I will look into at least a pot thats even just a little bigger then the one I have now.

Now I'll have to get a bigger pot and youtube transplanting or something. Where can I find good info on transplanting? Thanks

.. i think you should water them everyday... and in my opinion i wouldnt use nothing else to boost the plant at the time, but you can if you want, probably the taste wont be that nice..

transplanted it into a much bigger pot. at least 5 gallons. Although I believe I shocked the plant a little bit. All the leaves were pointing up afterwards. Oh well...not much I can do now, just hope it pulls through

Pointing up is good, that means there happy. http://www.youtube.com/user/Jason0930 watch Jason, he knows his shit.

Thanks, Im VERY glad I decided to transplant. The pot i transplanted the plant into is about 5 times the size it was in a few days ago and the plant has RESPONDED! The plant is getting bigger and bigger by the day. And the bud sites are looking GREEAAT! Really hope I can harvest in 5-7 weeks.

good to hear it's doing better, I would lay off the trimming a bit though...

it will be fine as you know but over pruning can effect the growth and yeild of your plant.

The plant can still look fine but you gotta remember every cut you make on it it has to heal which slows
the growth for your buds, the plant takes priority in healing itself first before anything else. Not saying you did
anything wrong at all just saying now that its deep into flowering id be carefull.
