My friend just showed me a website called geocaching.com which is where people play hide and seek with containers all over the place its a GPS game but its huge in my postal code alone there is 1465 containers hidden which means there is twice as many looking for them if you can GPS your spot then check on this website to make sure none of these things are around your spot, this is no bullshit check the site out put in your postal code and see,GEOCACHING.com thats all we needmore bush walkers,it blew my mind in my area:wall:

These people should GPS there way off a cliff and stay there. This is actually a good tool to keep your babies away from A-holes.

Yep this geo caching thing is real...when i was younger i did it with my uncle and these things are EVERYWHERE...And now that im older i can see the potential for disaster...

I Geocache sometimes while out exploring. Actually kind of fun. Funny some of the nooks and crannies you can find while out looking for a stash. Most of them are in places that are fairly accessible (you would never plant near them anyway) or no one would bother going after them. You can use google earth to check out the area around a cache to see if it is deep cover or not.

So does it lead people through areas that might be inhabited by growers, or is there an airial view that get searched for, like google earth?

It depends on the person planting the Cache. I have been to a few that were in very remote areas. The number of visitors was really low in the log books, so I would suppose that they were far enough out to preclude large numbers of visitors. Most of them are just off the beaten paths that are normally frequented anyway, so no loss of territory for "sun lovers".

The Caches are listed with their coordinates, so Google Earth can be used for pre-scouting. I usually look over potential grow spots with GE anyway. Sometimes it will reveal things that cannot be seen from the ground (lots of paths, buildings being erected that could compromise, etc).

Damn yea that would definitely be an issue while going/staying rogue through out the year. And you know the reason they invent games like this. I saw someone promoting it on The Daily Show or Colbert Show. Gotta keep that introduction to tech. flowing like a stream, and now they stumbling over our spots...

You'd have to be stoned to think of or to enjoy something that dumb wouldn't you?

It's like Cristopher Colombus discovering America with a map and then basking in the glory of discovery.

Not just that but with a special ed level map made for people too stupid to read normal maps.

could someone please give an example of what might be inside a container?

usually worthless trinkets or small toys, or something that you can keep but you need to replace with something else that is small and worthless.

sometimes its not even anything physical, sometimes its just you gaining knowledge about a certain area.

Damn, it says there is a box in my town. A small town of 300 or less.

But the idea of the game does sound interesting. Got to give them that.
