Wanting to move to AZ

Hello,

I really want to move to AZ (over CA and NV) but I'm worried about the stability of prop 203 and of course the 25 mile rule.

I was hoping to relocate before a dispensary opened near phoenix, and secure grow rights for at least a year, but now I'm worried about the AZ mmj law being repealed entirely.

How confident are you that prop 203 will remain in effect? I won't feel comfortable living in AZ if possession of a joint means a potential felony.

Thank you

It's fucking Arizona, you never know what's going to happen next.

I'm not sure there are any dispensaries yet. The 25 mile rule will probably remain intact for awhile since I haven't seen anything challenging it yet.

I wouldn't count on anything with this state other than more lawsuits over something.

I don't think we are any different than any oher state.

Prop 203's greatest opponent is our federal government, not AZ politics.

Year around golf...NBA, NFL, MLB, the golf tournaments, car auctions, cross border incursions, jet skiing, aaah ah beautiful girls.

Swimming pools...

I love it here.

If you havent seen anything challenging it yet, then maybe you dont follow mmj news..
It has been challenged and thrown out of court, because no one has been turned down grow rights as of yet.

Yeah, standing means everything in a court of law.

It was the main question in the ASA v. DIA.

I don't car for career politicians, but I dig sheriff Joe. I voted for him again.

There is no one I know that has ever said, "we should be more like California." I dig California. It isn't tribal for me.

If I didn't like Arizona I would move but since it is so much better than most of Kali etc, I'm here ! I'm not here because other places are better for me, LOL . . . Why would anyone stay & complain, just find your place to enjoy & live there. Life is shorter than we think . . .

P.S I've enjoyed marijuana here for 40 years, no problem for me.

Some people can't leave unfortunately. Sucks when you have to choose living where you'd enjoy life vs being a responsible parent.

I've been down here since 1970...
it is a different lifestyle to live here. things ARE different, including politics....it's a package deal. The good outweigh the bad. We have the nicest year round weather in the continental US

Well I consider myself a responsible parent having put one thru Arizona University & have one in the 5th grade now. My kids don't actually run my life, I raise them. If it is because you have made bad choices in the past (divorce etc) then I can see how you would have problems unless you stand up for what is right.

Please elaborate on how a divorced dad can leave the state and leave his kids behind just to "stand up for what is right".

I personally believe, if you breed them, you fucking stick around and you raise those little fuckers. Whether or not its in the state you want to be or with the woman that you are able to cohabitate with.

IMO any father that would up and leave his kids in a different state for no good reason, isnt much of a father at all. If your kids are in Kosovo....your ass had best be in Kosovo trying to be the best dad possible.
To many parents these days treat the responsibility of parenthood as a burden and try to minimize the effort and time invested in there own children. Kids needs mom AND dad in order to grow up as well as possible.....

As a parent your kids SHOULD run your life. (they should be the 100% primary focus of everything you do until they are 18)

Children are like top shelfs meds..... if you want the very best, they will require time, love, proper food and healthcare and all the attention you can spare in order to insure they grow tall, proud and strong....and all ways reach for the sun!
If your plants are worth t, your kids should be as well....

Just my opinion.

I get Wolfhound's point and who on earth is arguing against the nurturing of children. We all make different life choices. Some are here for the love of Arizona, or gun laws, or kids, or WORK...or the fact that we don't get "storms of the century" every couple of years.

I think one reason states might be racing to adopt medical cannabis is to halt the outflux of educated 20 somethings. The NE and rust belt are dying regions, like small town...Detroit is going to make Flynt seem like nothing.

The country is voting with its feet...fleeing towards warmth, sunshine, cheap real estate, jobs and for some...cannabis.
