have you looked into getting into a trade, like electrical, hvac, mechanic or something?
also pretty good money and jobs that will never be sent overseas, or be farmed out to robots or mechanization.
Most community colleges and tech schools offer classes in these fields.
I've been hvac for around 8 years now. I love the work personally. It's not that physically intensive and the pay is great.
and no two days are the same. and different locations and always meeting new people.
service industries are the way to go imo.
I read a article a few years ago saying that around 60% of the hvac techs will be retiring in the next ten years, creating opportunities for many young folks.
