wanna build a grow box. need advice

started my first grow ever about 3 weeks ago everything is good.. right now i have them growing in my closet im interested in bulding my grow box but i need some input.. i have my desgin and list of things to get but im having trouble finding my fans if anyone knows a good place for cheap let me know

i havent taken any updated ones but i recently trasplanted my plants into a bigger container (10 gallon fish tank 2 in layer of mineral rock for drainage and 16 quarts of soil) i have alot of space to work with in my closet so i was thinking 5 feet high and 2 feet wide all around, a 6 in round hole at bottom of the left side board (for air input) and another at the top of the right side(exhuast).... paint all inside with flat white seal it up, put door hinges and latch on front door.... wat do u think

What temps do you have in there?
And what materiel will you use for the box? I would go with plywood reinforcement and a type of panda wrap as the walls
But give me your thoughts

temps dont go over 80'... and plywood was exactly wat i was wanting to use... i was also wondering how powerful do u think the fans should be?

with your space, prolly not too powerful, just strategically placed, which i think you got down good. Temps will increase in the box, but the fans will help. What lights are you working with?

jus two 45 watt cfls, im hopeing that the lighting increases a little by reflecting off the paint.. do u think the lighting will be fine or should i upgrade

well it all depends, it could be enough if hung close to the plant, maybe like 1in. Take a look at my profile, i have a 15w and 25w cfl and good reflection and my barely 2 week old plants flourish in this from being hung close. I think you will be fine. Just don't let them grow up into the lights lol, happened to a friend and he burnt his shit.

lol... thanks for the help bro... but yea i actually have mine 4 in. from the top of the plants jus incase they decide to have a growth spurt... lol i wish...

haha how old are they friend?
and what's your region of the world?
i would go 2 inches so they can flourish, your not gunna get a growth spurt at 4 inches above. You will get that spurt by giving it all it needs to flourish.
No problem, I love helpin others. Gotta do something with all this shit i soaked up in my head over the years.

I run 4 125CFL's in a hood over a 15x18x 36in tub and iIve had 4 in growth spurt over 24hrs..so it is possible. For seedlings I'm running 2 40w tubes I got from HD along with the fixture for about $40. For the bigger lights, I got them from Planet Natural for $50.00 then got the socket from businesslighting.com for $6.I'm running 5 of those, and 1 4ft,8 tube reflector as well..before i found the MUCH cheaper CFL's. I haven't added up what all I have in my system..my heart might not take it!!

a nice size muffin fan or similar will be fine for your setup for exhaust and intake
Size isn't the issue with your setup cause you wont have a big room that needs hella big fans. Just focus on sealing everything nicely so the only air getting in and out are threw those fans.

cool cool.. my babys are 3 weeks old and i live in florida... so i will defeintly put them lower tonight.. i have them on a 18/6 light schedule.. ill place more pics

As$s is a neat place, but they don't have much right now. surpluscenter.com has a nice selection now. airreactor.com has a nice 115cfm fan and activated carbon combo. i've been running my for2 years now.
